I LOVE teaching piano, and all the elements that come along with learning this instrument. Whether you want a solid classical training or you'd like to build on the basics to play with lead sheets, we'll have a blast going through the paces, learning to make this instrument fun!

I've been playing piano since I was 5 years old. I've been playing professionally since I was 16 and can cover many styles of music. Berklee College of Music graduate.

Hello! I have over 30 years experience teaching private piano lessons and have been an orchestra and choir director for a public school district for over 20 years as well. I served as high school piano accompanist for State Festivals for 15 years. I hold a Bachelors of Music Education and currently am pursuing a Master of Education degree from Grand Canyon University. I endeavor to make learning fun for the student and utilize proven methods to motivate students to learn. I am a professional pianist, all styles. Have fun learning and developing your skills quickly in lessons with me!

love teaching and keeping students interested. It's important to find titles that students can get behind and taking time to find pieces that are appropriate and interest students is my first priority.

I like to make sure that exercises are not looked at as a punishment. Breaking down how to apply a technique is as important as learning it.

Finally, I like to keep things light. I'm not going to motivate you by scaring you into practicing. There are other teachers that are good at that, but that's not my style. I'd rather work on finding out how to get you to be self motivated and actually enjoy what you're doing.

My specialties include jazz and pop styles.

The student will be instructed on the basics of proper playing techniques, music theory, and musicianship. They will learn to read music and also play by ear which will make them a well rounded player.
