Mr. Sylvester is one of the greatest. He is not just an amazing guitarist, but he is also very kind. He treats people with so much respect. He speaks to me and my mom so nicely. He is very patient. He has a deep knowledge of music and knows how to get the most out of even the least talented people (like me!). He doesn't ever get mad if you make a mistake or forget to bring your music notes. We were so lucky to find Mr. Sylvester.

Mark is a talented musician who plays and teaches multiple stringed instruments. His lessons are always informative and supportive. They are driven by the student’s interest, so anything you want o learn— styles of music, how to do a particular technique, music theory— you can bring to class. And every now and then he organizes a recital— terrifying but great practice!

I believe that learning music should be as fun and inspiring as it can be to play. We all have a vast wellspring of creative energy within us, and the goal of the relationship between the student and the teacher is to help nurture and develop that latent talent. For this reason, my approach to teaching music is highly individualized. I start out with the premise that the student has unique gifts and my job is to help them discover what those are, and develop and refine them in order to make beautiful and deeply satisfying music, through whatever instrument and in whatever style they are drawn towards.

Depending on one's starting level of experience, some basic exercises will be assigned to develop core skills, with increasing levels of technical challenge and complexity. Elements of music theory will be woven into practical lessons. Students will have the choice to incorporate material from popular and familiar music into their studies, and as they progress they will be encouraged to

Mark is an American composer, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and music producer.

I started teaching private music lessons my senior year of high school, in 2006. Since then I've taught over 100 different students of all ages from 3 years old to 78 years old. While still living in Ohio, I was the one and only official guitar teacher for Guitar Center Youngstown through the duration of 2008-2009. In late 2009, after moving to Los Angeles, I continued to teach privately and with several music schools all around the city. I currently live in the Sherman Oaks neighborhood of LA with my wife and two little kids.

Are you interested in being able to confidently play lead and rhythm parts in a band? Want to learn to write songs? Want to learn to just strum along to your favorite records by yourself?

I will teach you or your child all of the knowledge and tools needed to do whatever your dream is on your instrument. My aim is to help every student achieve their personal goals on their instrument within the context of a relaxed and patient environment that promotes a love of music!

I achieve this by:

1) Individualizing lesson plans so that each student stays engaged and learns in the style that is best for them as learners.

2) Ensuring that students learn BOTH how to play their instrument as well as the theory behind what they are playing. This creates a more well-rounded musician that is capable of problem solving on their instrument and being able to play in a variety of settings.

I have been playing music for over 10 years and teaching private lessons since 2014. I ...

"I had been trying to learn the guitar for a while and met several teachers along the way. However it was with Ahmad that I developed the interest and excitement you experience when you play a guitar. Ahmad is the best guitar teacher hands down. In a very short time I have been able to understand not just how to play the guitar but also music in general. Ahmad is a very enthusiastic teacher who keeps the momentum going throughout the session. If you are in the area and want to learn the guitar you should definitely pay Ahmad a visit."

"One lesson in and I can tell Mel is the perfect instructor for me. I have been playing the guitar for about 2 years now with no formal instruction. Mel quickly identified my strengths and weaknesses, and immediately gave me practice drills to help correct bad fingering habits I had developed over the course of my self teaching. Furthermore, after only one lesson, it is very apparent Mel knows where I want to go with my playing and already has a plan to help me get there. I can't tell you how excited I am to have Mel as my online guitar teacher.

I'm German and booked just 5 lessons due to travel reasons. There was very vage input from me to Greg when we started (I always play the same; want to get new ideas; ...). Greg did not just provide a regular standard lesson. He focused and addressed 100%+ my desires and needs. Greg provided me very conrete and great input in several aspects to what I can do to improve my guitar playing. This was very useful to me and enabled me to move my guitar play forward. Private Blues Guitar Lessons Near You

Blues guitar has its roots in African-American history, in the storytelling songs of southern plantations. The modern blues emerged from a musical evolution, as it was played mixed with jazz from the Mississippi Delta to New Orleans.

In the 1930s, the blues expanded beyond the south, becoming popular across the United States. Notable artists include Stevie Ray Vaughan, Keb Mo, and Michael Bloomfield. The blues music genre covers electric blues, jump blues, boogie woogie, and more.

Based on 12-chord progressions and standard blues scales, blues guitar music has invaded almost every subgenre. And songs played with blues guitar are still heavily based on storytelling today. As a result, every blues guitarist has the power to become a storyteller with their instrument!

h3>Why Learn to Play Blues Guitar?

If you're interested in playing western music, then learning blues guitar will be fundamental. The blues gave birth to rock and roll, country, and every subgenre. As a result, blues guitar techniques are vital to playing most early and contemporary western music.

In addition to improving your skills in countless genres, learning blues guitar also has some mental health benefits. Playing the guitar requires the independent use of both hands while combining reading and listening skills. As a result, playing music keeps your mind active and strong, improving concentration and memory.
