I started teaching myself guitar about 15 years ago. In college, I took a couple years of classical guitar. I enjoy teaching different styles of guitar - from chords, to tabs, to classical. I teach primarily on acoustic guitar, but it’s a great foundation for all guitarists as the techniques on acoustic guitar can be applied to other types of guitar (electric, bass, classical, etc.)

About Beth

In May 2011, I graduated from Texas Woman's University with my Bachelor's Degree in Music and a minor in Business Management. Music has been my passion since before I started taking piano lessons in third grade, and there was always an innate desire to master the keys. At age fifteen, I taught myse

About Noah

Hello and thank you for showing interest in lessons with me! My name is Noah and I’ve been a musician for 15 years. I graduated from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts with a Bachelors degree in Jazz composition. When I first started playing the guitar I loved 80’s and classic ro

As an adult, I came to him as a complete novice, and since day one Noah has been very patient and encouraging- balancing music theory with songs that interest me. He's been willing to adapt to my needs in order to accommodate my goals and expectations. A few months later, I can confidently say that I've exceeded all of my goals, and constantly advancing past what I thought I was capable of.

Thanks Noah!
Colleen
I've only had my first lesson, and I'm a complete novice with the guitar (I'm an adult with some limited musical background). Noah asked me about my goals and musical interests so he could tailor the class to meet my needs. He taught me how to tune the guitar before getting into chords, finger placement, strumming technique, and reading the tabs. Throughout the class, he was incredibly patient, encouraging, and explained everything very clearly without over-complicating the topics. He gave me written "homework" to practice (which I now understand how to read!!). I'm really psyched for my next lesson and pleased that I chose Noah for my instructor.

Noah is by far the best teacher I've ever come across! Here's my story:

I was accepted into the Berklee College of Music as a Vocal Performance Major. However, my knowledge of theory, arranging, and harmony was nothing close to where it needed to be to succeed in my first semester. I ended my first semester with a 1.9 GPA. For the next semester, I was put on academic probation and was required to meet with a Berklee peer tutor once a week. This is where I met Noah. He was my peer tutor. Within our first session alone, I was immediately relieved that there was SOMEONE out that cared enough to take the time to really teach me everything that I needed to learn about theory, harmony, and arranging. He was extremely patient and kind. Where most students who were in my predicament dreaded to meet with their peer tutors weekly, I looked forward to meeting with Noah. In fact, I called the head of the tutoring department and asked if I could meet with Noah twice a week instead of once a week! Noah didn't hesitate, but instead agreed and we met twice a week! We even met for tutoring sessions when it wasn't required! He literally saved my second semester! I went from completely failing tests two getting A+ on all of my exams! At the end of that semester, I went from a 1.9 GPA to a 3.0 GPA!

Not only is Noah just amazing at everything theory, harmony, and arranging, composing, etc. and an amazing teacher that actually cares about his students, he's also an amazing musician! A multi-instrumentalist at that! I've had the pleasure of seeing him play multiple instruments in multiple styles and genres and he's by far the best musician I've ever come across. I would recommend him to anyone! Really! I'm not just saying this! If there is anyone you should be talking to or learning from in regards to all things music, Noah is the guy to go to!

THANK YOU NOAH!!!

Eric is the greatest. I enjoyed the experience working with him, how he took me to the another level with my voice. He is a great musician and teacher. Looking forward to working with him again.
Chelsea
Overall I had a good experience with Eric. I was hoping to learn more technical skills about the voice and breathing tips and tricks which I feel like I didn't get much of. For me, that was a miss but he has some really great warm-ups that I have still been utilizing. I feel that most of the lesson was just about getting through songs versus understanding areas of difficulty within the voice and why that issue is occurring.

"I am about eight lessons in and look forward to every one of them. Eric is patient with me as I am a little older and not a quick learner plus my work and family life is hectic so my practice times vary. Only reason I am not giving five stars is this is my first time taking guitar lessons but I know I will be sticking with Eric probably for another couple years of lessons as this is the first hobby I have had in a long time that I truly enjoy!"
