I’ve been delighted with my lessons with Semyon from day one. I had studied classical piano as a child but took a hiatus of several decades, and was somewhat nervous about starting up again. Semyon has put me at ease, and is so enthusiastic and encouraging, it’s contagious. He also has a focus on technique that I was looking for (scales and Hanon so far, which I know I need!). He knows his stuff but doesn’t overwhelm me with too much too soon. As an adult student, I couldn’t be more pleased with my choice and highly recommend him.
Patricia
As a retiree who has recently returned to piano after a decades-long hiatus, I knew I’d need a teacher with experience teaching adults. Semyon is proving to be excellent. He is a skilled musician and teacher whose approach combines enjoyable piano pieces, exercises for agility and the fundamentals of scales and theory. He is patient and responsive to what I want to accomplish. I have learned in each lesson, seen improvement each week, and enjoy the diversity of assignments. In short, i’m having a grand time and highly recommend him.

Your child will receive a warm and fun environment to learn music.

All lessons contain three main elements in music - Note Reading, Written Work, Music Games/Ear Training. These main elements are integrated to ensure that the lesson time is always fun and engaging.

I am delighted to help children embark on their musical adventure, with a teaching method that caters to their individual needs.

This was my daughter's first singing lesson. Melody was very accommodating with my wife and I observing our daughter. With a musical background myself, I immediately knew that Melody had immense knowledge not only about singing, but also the theory and technique that all singers should learn.

My daughter is now 16 years old and has been under Ms. Melody's tutelage for a year now. There are good times and bad, and I am thankful that Ms. Melody did not give up. My daughter will encounter lots of hardships throughout her life, and as a mother, I cannot do all the teachings myself. It is always good to know when you have a caring teacher whom you can trust and know what they are doing both in music and life. I like that Ms. Melody can be lenient, and firm when needed. My daughter has joined her recitals, music playdates, and couldn't be happier. I can't recommend Ms. Melody high enough.
Micala S.
My daughters, 8 and 6, took lessons as beginners from Melody for 10 months before we had to move. SHE IS AMAZING! Not only did she make the lessons fun and engaging, but they learned so much in that short time. I grew up playing piano, violin and French horn and I was very impressed with her approach/methodology and how much of herself she put into her teaching. For the last 3 months we were with Melody, the girls also took voice lessons. The highlight of our spring was watching the girls perform at the recital Melody had so painstakingly organized. It was astounding how much they had progressed musically and my husband and I were in awe at how well they performed in front of people. We were also impressed at the wide range of experience in the students Melody taught. Some had played for years and were clearly continuing to blossom under Melody's tutelage, while others were beginners like our daughters. Melody was always positive, encouraging and extremely patient (even when my six year old had clearly not practiced for a week straight or was tired and whiny). My daughters and I miss her dearly as our mentor and now our friend! We cannot recommend her highly enough.

I enjoyed working with Adam on reducing my accent. He has an uncanny talent to pick up subtleties in my pronunciation to identify where my accent becomes apparent. He worked iteratively with me to find words, syllable, vowels or consonants that I mispronounce. What makes him a great teacher is that he approaches the pronunciation from many different angles. It's not easy to work on your own accent which is why his witty teachings helps a lot to make every session very enjoyable.
Sergio
He pinpoints a lot of small things, that overall help tremendously. He has a great ear and picks up on little subtleties in your voice that you can improve, and this causes you to hold yourself accountable to the same standards as a result. Overall, after just one lesson, i have learned a lot and am eager to continue learning with Adam.
Justin
Adam was great to work with for my first lesson. He has a lot of experience and gives good tips and advice. I'm looking forward to more lessons with him.

"Very impressed with David's piano teaching ability. Arthur has been inspired! I really like the way David 'paints a picture' in his descriptions of how to improve a player's performance. For example, "Your hands should be like dancers who know their routines, and are independent of one another". Plus he backs this up with practice and repetition until it sinks in. Essentially, what's so great about David is that the finer details of being an outstanding pianist are fully addressed in a positive way, and I feel confident that Arthur will emerge from his chrysalis as a more fluent, happy, and improved performer. Arthur has learned so much in so few lessons. Thank you!"
