I have been playing piano since I was five years old and first began lessons. I mostly play pop music, but I also have experience in classical, theater, jazz, and other genres. As a teacher, it's important to me that students enjoy what they're doing and not only develop a strong foundation of theory but also a love for music. I think there is value in everything musical and I cater my lessons to my students' interests and goals.

Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to gain at least a basic understanding of how to read music and as time goes on you'll be able to begin playing songs of your choosing, as well as, songs I may recommend for you. I specialize in classical and Christian music, but I can also teach you the style that you are most interested in. You will learn to play a variety of styles of music while also learning the basics of music theory. I typically use Alfred method books for teens & adults and John Thompson method books for children, and have the following tools available for your lessons: Keyboards, mics, recording equipment, a variety of method and song books. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to ...

Daughter loved her first lesson with Britta"

Sandra has been teaching our daughter for six weeks. She is prompt and very, very understanding with our daughter. She relates well with children and is compassionate, yet firm. She communicates her expectations to both our child and her parents. Our daughter is improving very quickly thanks to Sandra's teaching. We would recommend Sandra without hesitation."
