I've been teaching Piano for 12 years and my students have gone on to form their own groups and work with major artists around the world. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to know your way around the keyboard, and as time goes on you'll be able to naturally play what you want. I specialize in Pop, Rock, R&B, Country and Gospel and love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to meet you!

I have a unique, extensive background in teaching the art of playing the piano in a private studio, preparatory school and university level settings. I teach all levels from beginner to advanced for ages five through adult.
I have a strong program in note reading and rhythm skills, as well as exploring all dynamic levels on the keyboard using interesting and fun repertoire.
More advanced students learn to use their theory skills to analyze their music to gain a better understanding of the composer's intent.
They also learn finesse as well as nuances in piano technique to apply to their pieces of music.
I've taught for over five decades so I have tons of knowledge and experience!

For my beginning students I help get them acquainted with the piano and the music that they would like to study.
For my more advanced students I focus primarily on improvisational concepts and playing in group settings.
As with all of my students I have a strong emphasis on developing their ears and follow a sound-before-symbol approach.
