The piano is often referred to as the instrument every musician should start off learning. The way it is laid out makes it very easy to see how music works and fits together. In lessons, we'll be sure to cover all the basics of technique, rhythm, harmony and melody and even theory to ensure a solid foundation to build upon. I tend to teach these concepts through the use of various etude/method books as well as listening exercises to ensure a well rounded approach to learning in order to become a more well rounded musician.

About Bill

Bill is multi-instrumentalist, jazz musician, composer, arranger and educator. He developed a strong connection to music early in life through some family tradition, encouraging parents and many inspiring and influential teachers. I very highly recommend Bill! A few months ago I could struggle through a few scales but with Bill's teaching I'm now playing funk songs live in front of 50 people with a friend's band. Bill's lessons are not only useful, but also fun and energetic. I've had a number of saxophone teachers in the past and Bill is by far the best.

I chose Sally to teach my granddaughter the fundamentals of piano playing and she's done a amazing job . I have to commend Ms. Sally on her knowledge and patience on her teaching ability. I would highly recommend Ms.Sally to any of my friends and or relatives

Sally has truly been the most wonderful instructor! I started taking lessons a few months ago with her. I played piano when I was younger but I wanted to get back into playing before my twins arrive. I am almost 8 months pregnant at this point and Sally has been kind, compassionate and so helpful in helping me remember the piano skills I didn't know I had in me and haven't used in many years. She challenged me, taught me things I never learned when I was younger and helped me improve across every lesson. I'd highly recommend Sally as a piano instructor for all ages and skill levels and I look forward to working with her again in the future!

If one of the answers to this question is a teacher who truly understands how to communicate in an understanding and fun way...then let my years of experience help you to achieve your goals. I have taught many students of all ages and levels in private, public, and workshop environments. I always try to get to know my students - learn about their musical experiences as well as skill level; tastes; and what they want to achieve at the piano. I teach in the classical method and specialize in applying this method to various genres such as pop, rock, jazz and Broadway! Sharon is an incredible piano teacher. She is enthusiastic, joyful, funny, supportive and has an immense depth of knowledge when it comes to the piano. You can tell she loves what she does which means every lesson is a pleasure. I couldn't have picked a better teacher. I would and I do recommend her to anyone interested in learning to play the Piano

Sharon is friendly, supportive and super encouraging. She moves at the student’s pace, and keeps a good handle on the progression of the lesson, so that you get a good chunk of instruction/learning while not being overwhelmed. I’m a newbie at music instruction, and Sharon was wonderful in every aspect for someone starting like me. I’m sure she’d be just as fabulous for a more experienced piano player.

Fantastic first lesson. Sharon is great to work with. She explains the process and then we get right into the music and vocals. She's very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I'm looking forward to my next lesson.

"Natasha is a great piano teacher!

I've been going for a few weeks now and I feel like I have already picked up a ton that I could not have learned on my own. She pays a lot of attention to my form to make sure I am not picking up any bad habits, which is exactly what I was looking for in an instructor.

Lessons are always super clear and encouraging. I never feel like things are going too slowly OR too fast.

Highly recommended!"
