I have been teaching piano for over 25 years. Each student is unique; so I customize the lessons and repertoire to suit each student, utilizing method books and/or different styles of music depending on the student's interest. I always include music theory, note comprehension, rhythm and practice tips!

About Amber
I am an experienced, enthusiastic music instructor, who started playing piano around 8 years of age and participated in many musical activities. I received my Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Massachusetts, majoring in Music Education (voice and piano). I have appeared around the world as a soloist singing jazz and pop, including the Blue Note, NYC, and appeared as a guest soloist at the 2000 Southern California Summer Special Olympics. I also participated in ensemble groups such as the Masterworks Chorale in NYC, and the Verdi Opera Chorus of Southern California; and currently I volunteer at the Senior Center leading/accompanying the Sing-Alongs.

Inspired by my love of music, I have been teaching piano and voice for over 25 years from NY to LA and now Orange County. In conjunction with my teaching skills, I have
excellent communication skills, patience and enthusiasm, and work well with children and all ages. I feel that music is an important part of education, and it aids in the development of cognitive and motor skills. And most of all, it is fun and rewarding, and a skill to last a lifetime!

Beginning students: learn piano fundamentals with Faber Piano Adventures + supplementary material that I provide

Intermediate students: learn your favorite songs and learn how to write your own songs

About Kateri
MY TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
My approach is compassionate, nurturing, and collaborative. My teaching style is structured but leaves room for fun. I believe that a student new to their instrument will thrive when they:
- have a parent involved in their practice in-between lessons (parents observing the lesson is highly recommended)
- have fun while learning proper technique to avoid harmful habits down the road
- choose songs that are interesting to them while the teacher picks songs that will help them grow
- are given foundational tools and approaches to further lifelong learning as they get older

ABOUT ME
I’ve been playing professionally as a pianist/keyboardist for 15 years and teaching for just as long. I have a B.A. in Music from Cal Poly Pomona. I also write, sing, record, and produce my own songs on piano and ukulele. People th
at work with me say that I’m highly qualified, reliable, and punctual.

I use a variety of books for each of my students customized to their experience and goals. From theory, scales, and technique, to sight-reading and various repertoire, I ensure a well-rounded foundation for their musicianship. I enjoy teaching all genres of piano, from classical to jazz, to pop and movie soundtracks. I like to select repertoire that my students enjoy, along with balancing fun pieces with proper techniques, and performance experience.

About Beth
In May 2011, I graduated from Texas Woman's University with my Bachelor's Degree in Music and a minor in Business Management. Music has been my passion since before I started taking piano lessons in third grade, and there was always an innate desire to master the keys. At age fifteen, I taught myself how to play guitar and started writing songs. In 2013, I became a published songwriter when my songs were produced on my church's Christmas Album ("Who Is This King?").

I have been teaching private piano lessons part-time from my home in Colleyville for seven years, and have instructed over 150 students. I have been blessed to be teaching full-time since January 2017, and it has been a dream come true to be able to invest all my time and energy into the precious gifts of my students. My students range from young beginners to intermediate a
nd advanced students, to beginner and moderate adults. Teaching is my greatest passion, whether it's of the classical genre, theory mastery, or equipping a student to use their gifts in worship.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions and I will be happy to discuss. I believe with you that you'll find just the right instructor to impart to your family!

Besides being fun and instructive, my class has the purpose of addressing knowledge according to the student's interests and need. With teaching experience for about 12 years already, it is important to me to have a connection with my students. I am a pianist with a strong foundation in Classical Music, Composer, and Vocalist, and I would like to offer opportunities for exposure for those ones interested. I do record and produce my own students because I believe it is important to achieve goals in everything we do with passion and dedication. I see music as a positive tool from different perspectives; to develop personalities, to create an inner a more positive world, to communicate and express. We never know what is really inside of our souls until we get in touch with the magic of MUSIC!

About Waldo
I am a professional Pianist, Composer, Choir Conductor, and Vocalist who also write songs, orchestrate, and make arrangements. Cuban who studied primarily in Cuba (ENA and ISA), and finished studying in the USA. I have played in several important Concert Halls, among them, it is included Carnegie Hall in NY. I have worked on several projects including music for TV and Musical Theater.

I am the owner and funder of MusiKon Edge Productions. The idea started some time ago and now is becoming true. As part of my offer to students, it is my interest to produce them, so they can be more creative and the process becomes interesting and fun.

Even though I studied Classical Piano, I love Pop Music, Jazz, and I am always open to new genres, as long it is done with good taste and makes a positive impact on others. Creative, fun, professional
and knowledgeable is the way I define my ART.

I have won several awards since I was younger after starting studying music at the age of 15, and since then I have had an intense career performing and creating music for endless different projects, such as playing music alive for a play, composing music for Symphonic Orchestra, Contemporary music for different formats (like piano, violin, and clarinet), or even Musical Theater.

Teaching is one of my passions, and I have seen some of my students to be successful in National Musical Contests, such in Jazz in WorldStrides on Stage in New York City.

I incorporate a lot of technology into my lessons.
Students have multiple performance opportunities. I often host piano parties as well as field trips to piano factories. Most students say I am lots of fun, and silly, but also train pianists really well.

I have a great sense of humor and have 30 years of experience. I am a college professor as well as a faulty member of the Manhattan School of Music Pre-College Division.

About Claudia
Over 30 years teaching students of all levels: children, adults, professionals/teacher training. Professor at Hunter College and on faculty at Manhattan School of Music Pre-college.

I feel responsible to get my students excited about classical music and pique their curiosity about contemporary music. These students are the future of our art, if not as performers, then definitely as audiences, patrons and administrators. It is our mandate to guide these students to appreciate and understand how the study of music will enhance their lives, no matter what field they choose.

Music is an essential aspect of who we are as human beings. My goal, then, is to develop in students a love of music, and an enjoyment of learning how to play the piano. I host performance opportunities for students to perform on stage, as well as piano parties an
d piano 4-hands group-a-thons. I use technology when appropriate to help kids get excited about learning.

I’m often asked whether I enjoy starting young children at the piano. My answer is always the same: give me a student, and I will be thrilled to guide my pupil and get him or her excited about studying. The age is unimportant. The challenge is keeping a student engaged and enthusiastic along with the hard work that goes into training. No matter the student’s age or level, educators have an enormous responsibility to create and nurture life learners, and to ignite a curiosity and passion for the arts.

What matters, then, is to develop the skills inherent to studying music: discipline, inquisitiveness, problem-solving, and, most importantly, active and acute listening.

Our 10 year old son began learning from Claudia nearly 3 years ago. We all love her! We weren't sure if he would enjoy learning the piano, but Claudia ignited his interest and he has been very engaged ever since. The hour that he spends with her each week is rigorous, yet it passes quickly and he always leaves with a smile. His level of playing far surpasses our expectations. Each week, she emails us a custom practice log with notes about which pieces he should study. She is thoughtful about making sure that he has a grounding in the mechanics, while enabling his talent and natural feel for music. Each piece that he is assigned to play is purposeful and he really enjoys his repertoire. We are due to purchase a piano and Claudia is giving us tips in that process as well. We feel so lucky to have found Claudia!

I specialize in teaching you the songs that you want to learn, foundations in piano technique as well as beginning song-writing! I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to meet you!

About James
Today, I play music throughout New York City with various styles of bands, from Church Ministry to Rock bands and Jazz groups. I have taught a diverse variety of people from all walks of life. I am now following my musical passions and, besides playing saxophone regularly, I also am a singing pianist that plays at various piano-bar/restaurants in New York.

I began playing saxophone and piano in the 2nd grade. I was a member of the New York State ‐ All State Jazz Band in High school. I performed regularly at Ossining High School where I was a member of the elite Woodwind Ensemble and played 1st alto sax and flute in the Jazz Big Band and Jazz Workshop ensembles. I also performed periodically in Westchester County and New York City with groups from the Lagond Music School where I studied and had taught privately starting in 2003.

At an ea
rly age, I was inspired by the playing of Phil Woods and Lenny Pickett to take up the saxophone and pursue the study and playing of Jazz. I studied saxophone, flute and clarinet privately with Jon Irabagon (winner of the 2008 Thelonious Monk International Jazz Saxophone Competition) and with Charlie Lagond at the Lagond Music School in Elmsford, New York.

During High School I was a regular attendee at the SUNY Summer Jazz Institute in Purchase, New York where I had the privilege of attending Master Classes led by Ralph Lalama and played alto sax in workshop ensembles led by Ralph as well as Doug Munro, Jon Gordon and Charles Blenzig.

In college, at New York University, I had the distinct pleasure of working with musical masters, Lenny Pickett, Chris Potter, Kenny Werner, Rich Perry, John Scofield, Wayne Krantz, to name a few. My time at NYU helped me hone my creativity and prowess as an artist.

Lessons and curriculum are all customized for your goals, and my students all learn how to play the music that They Love- as well as widen their appreciation for the musical arts, and learn the essential components and benefits of having their own Practice which can translate into schooling, sports, and careers in any field. Daine is an excellent teacher that moves at a quick pace. In our family he teaches three different levels: An adult beginning learner, a self-taught teenager who needs to learn technique and music reading, and a 7 year old beginner. He adjusts the level of lesson to match each of us and does a great job. He is always on time and has a bunch of cool resources for us. He also explains "why" we are doing the things we're doing, which I find helpful.
