Chris was very patient with me. I had special challenges due to be an older student that started later in life. We communicated very well--asking and answering questions. Chris knew how to help me as I am challenged with intonation. He did not let me slide which is an excellent quality in an instructor.

When I had questions or problems that we were not able to figure out between the two of us he went to his instructor to ask. He was not afraid to admit that he didn't know. He respected me as a scientist who had challenging questions.

Overall, I highly recommend Chris as an instructor for viola.

Chris is super knowledgeable, flexible to make lessons work over Skype, and attentive to make sure the lessons are tailored to what I am trying to learn as a growing pianist. I’ve had a great experience, grown a lot, and look forward to more lessons!

Ms. Mary is very flexible and understanding with her schedule. My daughter loves her honest critique and patience, as she says it..."Ms. Mary is not afraid to tell me if I played or sounded horrible".

Mary started teaching my daughter piano when she was four years old, and we absolutely love her! She is patient and kind and provides the perfect balance between letting wiggly kids be themselves and focusing on the task at hand. Her teaching methods work - we took a break from lessons when my daughter started Kindergarten, but she still sometimes sits down at the keyboard and I hear her repeating the things Mary taught her almost a year ago! We are so excited to be returning to Mary for online lessons!

I have nothing but good things to say about my lessons with Ray, he's very easy going and he teaches you the theory behind the music as you're progressing so you get the full experience, he's a great teacher and I look forward to more lessons with him

Ray is a very knowledgeable and skilled piano instructor. He's especially good at finding a balance between making sure that I understand concepts already covered, and challenging me with new ones. I love that he teaches music theory concepts and shows real-life examples of how it's used in music genres that I'm interested in. He also makes "dry" material much more palatable by showing me how to practice things like scales and chords in novel ways that keeps things interesting. I recommend him highly to adult beginners.
