I teach the basic piano repertoire however I also like to keep it interesting for the students. I teach scales, patterns, ect...but I also ask what their favorite songs are. I think its important to learn what you love as well as the required pieces. I also try games with kids and make it fun that way as well. I teach classical and popular songs only no jazz on piano.

I am a professional pianist with substantial experience in teaching piano to students of different ages. I hold two Master's Degrees in Piano Performance: the first from Kharkiv National University of Arts in Ukraine and the second from Anton Rubinstein International Music Academy in Germany.
I previously performed as a solo pianist, played chamber music, and taught at a private music academy in Germany.
As an experienced piano teacher, I would say that it is always important to have a classical background no matter what kind/style of music you prefer to play (although it is not necessary to focus exclusively on the classics). No matter what your goals are, improving technique and understanding harmony and theory will help you succeed.
I strive to make the learning process interesting and enjoyable. I have been playing piano for over 20 years, and I strive to share my knowledge and ...

Are you someone that has an ear for music that you want to develop? Allow me to help polish your musicianship with music theory, and ear training exercises. Learn to read and write music from a teacher who understands a "self taught" musician. I began piano at 7 years old writiting my first song at 8. I then polished my style with 8 years of lessons to better understand the anatomy of music. She is very patient and kind."

Aleksis is an awesome piano teacher. I have taken lessons from him for 3 years. His method is fun and effective. He adjusts his teaching style based on how you learn and how you want to play. I know this because he also taught my husband guitar and did some sessions with our niece and nephew when they were visiting. He is great with kids with his very positive and fun approach."

My Instructor, Terri, is knowledgeable, patient and flexible. I am a professional, mature student with a super busy schedule who had never played a musical instrument before. Terri has been able to provide the knowledge and encouragement that I need, along with the enjoyment of playing the piano. I could not have asked for a better fit. Terri is valuable to any age group."
