My lessons are unique in that I make studying piano enjoyable and beginners start to feel the love of music, and want to succeed. I get beginners {adults or children playing pieces very quickly. Sight-reading and theory are incorporated into beginning lessons {students do not realize they are learning these}. Later theory is taught as a separate part of the lesson. In the 15 years I have taught, most beginning students are playing at a 3rd year level at the end of one year. Intermediate and advanced students learn history of the composers works they are playing, and how the composes' lives affect the interpretation. I teach the technique need for a piece. I do not have my students practicing scales and other rote exercises. My students learn all the technique need as part of the pieces they are working on.

About Keith

I was a combined piano performance and theory major at Texas Christian University. I was fortunate to have studied with some of the best teachers in the world, including Mme. Brandon is fantastic. I don't know that he's ever given me a word of bad advice, and has been a HUGE help in getting my career as a producer and narrator off the ground. He's incredibly knowledgeable and skillful, and my experiences in both hiring him and learning from him have been absolutely fantastic. I would heartily recommend him!

When I started with Linda I hadn't had a piano lesson in almost forty years. In a short time she had me playing with more confidence and at a far higher level than I had ever achieved before. Linda is a phenomenal performer and a gifted teacher. Anyone at any level would be lucky to work with her.

I consider myself very fortunate to have found Linda when I took up piano after a 50 year hiatus. She brought enthusiasm, patience and profound musical knowledge to each lesson. I would be with her still if Julliard hadn’t called her to Manhattan. Six stars!

She started with voice and showed such an interest in piano that he added that to her lessons. She has picked it up very quickly and looks forward to her lessons with Kevin. "Yana is a wonderful teacher

I was a bit hesitant of enrolling my daughter in lessons because of the expense not only for the lessons but I knew piano lessons meant a piano or keyboard would also need to be purchased. Yana is so great with her, she has given her a love and better understanding of music. Yana is very patient and a great teacher, she understands my daughter very well and challenges her without crushing her spirits. I highly recommend her, this has been worth every penny!"

5 Fun Games for Learning Piano Chords

Learning to play the piano is a really rewarding process, for aspiring musicians of all ages! But remember: as with all new skills, it takes a lot of practice and commitment to make progress.
