Customized to each student. If the student has not previously taken lessons I use Piano Adventures as the basic course guide. I have found it the most productive and enjoyable for my students. I uses a minimum of the Lesson and Theory book for my younger students with either the basic course or Accelerated course depending on their age and maturity. Adults begin with the All In one adult book. I add the other books that accompany each level based on the particular students needs and interests. I believe that a good grounding in Theory is essential as a student who becomes proficient in sight reading, no matter how well he/she plays by ear, will find that the doors for lifetime musical fulfillment with be much wider. However, with a student who has already had some lessons I will be happy to continue with any method that the student is currently using.

​All lessons contain three main elements in music - Note Reading, Written Work, Music Games/Ear Training. These main elements are integrated to ensure that the lesson time is always fun and engaging.

Music is a joy to hear, to sing, and to play. Of all the instruments to choose from, piano is a fantastic option. It's beautiful both as an incredible, rich solo instrument and accompaniment, blending with other instruments through chords or melody.

No matter your age, ability or taste in genre, you can learn to love playing. It brings Jane pleasure to help you along the way.

​While theory is certainly an important part of music, Jane's aim is to get you up and running so you can play what you want to hear. As a student, your job will be to practice what you have learned, and most importantly, to have fun gaining competency as a musician.

I have been teaching private piano, violin, guitar, and ukulele lessons for ten years. I won competitions, hundreds of dollars, and a scholarship through the Desert Valley Music Teacher Association (DVMTA). I have written and self-published two piano books with more in the works. I have worked on a Music Theory degree at MCC and plan to transfer to ASU to finish my bachelor's. I help students find the fun in music again with many involved music games and incentive programs. I instill a love and confidence in students of composing their own music from a young age.

I started piano lessons at age 3 and know that you are never too young to begin learning piano. I have been privileged to work with amazing teachers who helped develop my skills. My experience-working with young children and also working adults. All ages are welcome! You will learn to read music, theory, sight reading , playing by ear, and learn to play other genres of music i.e. reggae music. Let’s make it happen!!!
