I've been playing piano for almost as long as the bass, my primary instrument. Piano offers amazing flexibility to make multiple voices sound out at once, and it's important to so many genres. I can teach reading music, hand independence, improvisation, and especially how to play jazz piano chords.

About Quentin

I go to the University of Georgia for Double Bass Performance. I've spent about 9 years learning and sharing everything I can about this wonderfully complex instrument. So many genres of music can be played on the double bass, and once you add my secondary instrument, the bass guitar, you're a neces

Quentin has an easy going manner that makes my middle school student want to learn from him. My son is working on improving his technique and Quentin was able to assess an appropriate level of instruction.

I have 21 years of experience teaching middle school through high school band students. I have been a head band director for all 21 years, with many students earning music scholarships, receiving superior ratings at solo and ensemble festival, as well as positions in all-region and all-state band. My bands have been known for playing well, being selected as an Oklahoma Music Educators' Association Honor group as well as the Music for All National Festival. I am hoping to help students who do not have band classes now due to the school closures but am happy to teach anyone interested. Students will find me patient and engaging. I absolutely love band and can't wait to teach you or your child!

Craig Amendt is a fantastic teacher. He was my first band teacher ever and taught me private lessons for the first few years on my instrument. He instilled a love of music in me that carried me all the way through college and is still huge part of my life. I’m now a music educator as well and it may have never happened if Craig hadn’t been my first teacher. I highly recommend Craig as a teacher because he is passionate and dedicated, and he will give you the tools to be successful no matter what age or level of player that you are.

My experience with Kathy has been great. It's been roughly five months and I learned a lot and I'm also much more confident to sing. Learning the right techniques is crucial. Kathy is extremely patient and she adapts the classes to the student goals and aspirations. English is not my first language and she was also always very respectful and patient in explaining everything twice or maybe three times until I get it.

Kathryn has a terrific demeanor, and provides clear, thoughtful suggestions for technique!

Terrible. Only taught 30 minutes out of 60 minute sessions. On the 3 session I mentioned it and he said he didn’t think my son needed more than that even though we paid for it. Was so disrespectful!!!! Never again!!! Highly unprofessional when asked about why he cut the lessons short. Please don’t leave your kids with this instructor work paying attention. He will get over on you if he thinks you’re not involved.

"I've been taking boogie woogie piano lessons with Edwin for a couple of years now. I have little talent but Edwin has always been patient and encouraging. He is an excellent musician and seems to be able to figure out the most obscure sequences from recordings which is important because a lot of this stuff isn't written down. Plus he's willing to take an unconventional approach as normal teaching methods don't seem to work on me. I highly recommend him."

"Edward's a very patient teacher and accomplished pianist. I've played the piano a bit on my own, but he gave me a detailed orientation into the theoretical side and technical side of piano. He gives me a large plate of work every week, and expects me to do this work. My progress isn't immediate, but it's going smoothly and it IS progress. I would suggest Edward for both begginers berly learning and for experienced players trying to learn more. Don't be shy with him. He can be a bit qwerky, but there is a method to his madness."
