Hello,

I was born with three great passions: for music, for children, and for teaching. This gives me the opportunity to put them all together and make the music experience a win-win-win situation for all who want to become more artistic and... smarter :)
I graduated in 1999 from the Art and Music High school with a concentration in Piano and voice. I started teaching even while in school, which gives me a 20+ years of experience and love-growth for children of all ages. Since I moved to Georgia in 2005, I have worked in the Buford/Swannee area offering group and private lessons for companies such as: Tickled Ivories, Musika, and Harmony Road Music School.
With the beginning of this new school year, I am relocating to Athens, GA. and I look forward to spreading the joy of music to this new and very unique city! Viva la Musica!

Mr. Ruiz started teaching my son the piano in 2009 when my child was only 5yrs old. He came highly recommended by his Music Professor at Lehman College. He managed to get my son enthused about music at such a young age. He made lessons fun. Thanks greatly to Mr. Ruiz's genuine encouragement and patient coaching, my son continues to study and enjoy the instrument today. Thanks Jake!

I actually have been playing and performing on the Piano longer than the Guitar- since I was 10 years old. I have a lot of knowledge that will help you to understand the instrument better and sharpen your Piano skills. I will assist in your sight reading, song creativity, building up a solid repertoire, technique, comprehending music theory, etc. We will strengthen any area any area you are looking to develop.

About David
A fun, friendly, and professional Music Instructor at your service for Guitar, Piano, Voice, Bass, & Drums! I have a BA degree from Florida Atlantic University in Music Performance for Classical/Flamenco/Jazz/Blues guitar and I've also performed on the Piano/Keyboards for a couple different bands too. Presently, going back to School to earn a Master's in Music. Love to play & teach pretty much all styles of music! It is always a pure joy & truly rewarding to see my music students grow and flourish as musicians. I have been enjoying doing this now for 16 years- all ages & levels. I am also in a multi-dimensional rock project and am a recording artist-

I believe it's important to learn the rudiments of music to build a good foundation (scales, chord vocabulary, theory, song-composition, performing techniques), but I also base the less
ons on whatever the interests and strengths are for the student. For example, if you enjoy jazz more than classical we'll focus more on what you are particularly passionate about. I have also been a part of School of Rock Programs in which we provided performances for the students a la Jack Black. Please contact Takelessons to let the musical journey begin...

Justice was the perfect piano instructor for me. I wanted to learn one specific song to play and sing as a proposal to my girlfriend. Justice helped me learn it in only 5 lessons, even though I had never played piano previously! He was skillful, encouraging, and fun! Justice made the most of each lesson to ensure that we met my goal. The engagement turned out beautifully; 'she said yes'! And my fiancé was quite surprised that I could play piano. Thanks Justice!!

I began taking lessons from Lana in October 2016, after 50 years of being away from the piano. Who would have thought that learning to play again in my retirement years would bring such joy! I am learning to play classical, popular, holiday classics and looking forward to learning blues and jazz! My THANKS to Lana, who is a very knowledgeable and patient teacher, as well as an accomplished and gifted musician. She knows how to make learning fun.

I'm a first time piano student at a ripe golden age that thought I wouldn't have to learn to read notes...haha! I was apprehensive about taking piano lessons at this stage of life. Lana is the best...she is patient, challenging, supportive, and makes learning fun. She starts you off with songs you enjoy playing and builds to a variety. I've only been playing for a short time and I already have a great mix of popular songs and now moving into classical. She even made learning notes fun with an app she found. You learn and play at your own pace. I've seen her interact with young and old and am impressed with her aptitude of working with each person at their unique skill level. I love learning piano from Lana and I would recommend her to people and children of all ages.
