Hello,

I was born with three great passions: for music, for children, and for teaching. This gives me the opportunity to put them all together and make the music experience a win-win-win situation for all who want to become more artistic and... smarter :)
I graduated in 1999 from the Art and Music High school with a concentration in Piano and voice. I started teaching even while in school, which gives me a 20+ years of experience and love-growth for children of all ages. Since I moved to Georgia in 2005, I have worked in the Buford/Swannee area offering group and private lessons for companies such as: Tickled Ivories, Musika, and Harmony Road Music School.
With the beginning of this new school year, I am relocating to Athens, GA. and I look forward to spreading the joy of music to this new and very unique city! Viva la Musica!

Justice was the perfect piano instructor for me. I wanted to learn one specific song to play and sing as a proposal to my girlfriend. Justice helped me learn it in only 5 lessons, even though I had never played piano previously! He was skillful, encouraging, and fun! Justice made the most of each lesson to ensure that we met my goal. The engagement turned out beautifully; 'she said yes'! And my fiancé was quite surprised that I could play piano. Thanks Justice!!

Students will work on piano technique, based on their level of study. They will learn through the use of exercises (playing scales, arpeggios, and studies/etudes), as well as through the application to real-life repertoire, in the genre of their choice (classical, pop, rock, jazz, etc.)

About Eric
Please note: I will not be available June-August of 2016. Please let me know if you are interested in Skype/Facetime lessons during that time.

I am a classically trained professional opera singer in the Evanston area. I received my bachelor's degree in vocal performance at the University of Miami and am currently studying for a master's degree at Northwestern University. I just moved to Evanston in September and am looking to take on students of all ages who are interested in classical, musical theater, or pop/jazz singing. I can also teach beginning piano skills. Let me help you unlock your most beautiful sound!

My wife and I took 2 months of lessons from Eric and they were all great! We were both basically beginners (I had some memory from lesson that I took as a kid) and Eric helped us get started and off on the right track. He has a great/fun personality and is a great teacher. Unfortunately we were unable to keep taking lessons with him due to a conflict in scheduling. I would totally recommend him as a piano teacher though.

I teach piano lessons to students of all ages. I believe in positive encouragement, goal-setting, and a balance of technical discipline and fun! I have nearly 15 years of experience teaching all skill levels, and 7 of those years were spent as a music teacher in the Atlanta Public School system. I would love to meet you and help you discover the joy and confidence that comes from playing beautiful music!

About Carolyn
Sharing my love of music and teaching others is my passion. I began teaching piano and harp lessons when I was in high school. After earning two degrees in music performance at the University of Arizona, I continued my love of teaching by working as the Artistic Director of the Urban Youth Harp Ensemble for 7 years. There I taught harp lessons to hundreds of students, and tried to make music fun and accessible to everyone regardless of their background. I believe that students learn best when the teacher is able to balance hard work and discipline with joy, humor, and a caring relationship with each student.
