I have been personally playing the piano for almost 40 years. I use several approaches depending on student's specific learning process and goals. No one leaves their first lesson without playing something on the piano.

Born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, at the age of 9, Natalie knew music was something that was just a part of who she was. Writing songs on the piano before lessons could be scheduled, Natalie found herself immersed in a medium that would bring her joy for the rest of her life.
By age 14 Natalie had won several trophies competing in Classical piano with the Illinois Music Association.
As an adult, she would go on to fill her life with the world of music as a singer, songwriter, performer and recording artist.
Graduating from Elmhurst College (1997) with a Bachelor's in Music, Natalie received high accolades earning a membership in the Lambda Sigma Psi Music Honor Society.
During her college years, Natalie created and owned a local music publication called, "The Local Buzz". At this moment she had discovered her
desire to teach. "I just wanted everyone I knew in music to know and use what I was learning, or had learned from the music classes, professionals I had been meeting and working with, and my overall music life experiences". By 1997, Natalie was signed to an independent label and embarked on a new adventure.
"Music is an adventure, but without the foundation and passion I had as a child, I would have never landed where I did. I truly LOVE to teach and share what I know about piano, and the world of music. Music is what I know, and know best. Helping to create a solid foundation and build confidence in someone embarking on a journey in music is the most rewarding profession I have ever had the honor of participating in."
*** Lesson Details *** Natalie enjoys teaching students of any age, but specializes in piano, voice and beginning guitar, tailoring lessons to each individual's goals and reasons for learning whether it be for personal pleasure or professional performance.
Keeping things lighthearted and fun, Natalie breathes confidence into each student using her sense of humor, and down-to-earth personality.
Feeding off 40 years of personal and professional experiences, Natalie patiently listens to the student's desires, needs and notates their learning patterns, allowing for growth at their own pace.
Natalie's goal is to Make Music Matter to you and create a foundation that will allow you to continue to find joy in making music for the rest of your life.

I received my undergraduate and graduate degrees in Piano Performance at the Juilliard School, a second masters degree in Music Education at Columbia University, and a doctorate at the Eastman School of Music. For more detailed information, please visit my website at rosaleepiano.com.
I am confident that you will know why my piano studio stands out. There are many teachers who teach piano. However, you will not receive the same results in the same amount of given time. I am confident that I can most effectively provide results for you, and, most importantly, inspire you/your child to enjoy the process throughout the musical journey.
Also, my unique educational background in both piano performance and music education distinguishes me from other teachers. I have learned not only the technical skills to teach students, but also on how to communicate most effectively to students through innovative, fun, and creative teaching ...
Recipient of the Juilliard School’s 2009 John Erskine Prize, Seattle-born Korean-American pianist Rosa Lee received her undergraduate and masters degree in Piano Performance at the Juilliard School of Music with top honors, a second masters degree in Music & Music Education from Columbia University, Teacher’s College as a Morse Fellow, and a doctorate in Piano Performance & Literature with a Minor in Pedagogy from the Eastman School of Music. Through her multiple focused degrees in piano performance and pedagogy, Dr. Lee strives to spread her tremendous heart for teaching students of all ages and instill the love of music through fun and innovative pedagogical methods.
Recognized in Seattle’s Korea Times as a pianist capable of “fearlessly communicating a distinct message through clear tone and beautiful expression,” Dr. Lee enjoys an
active performing career. She has performed as soloist with the Seattle Philharmonic Orchestra, Northwest Mahler Orchestra, Sammamish Symphony Orchestra, University of Puget Sound Orchestra, Philharmonia Northwest, Musicians Emeritus Symphony, and Seattle Junior Symphony Orchestra.
Dr. Lee was the recipient of the 2010 Shelby Bowen Full Scholarship at the Music Academy of the West and has attended numerous summer programs including the Aspen Music Festival, Bowdoin International Music Festival, Zephyr Chamber Music Festival, and The Banff Centre Piano Master Class where she has worked with musicians including Robert McDonald, Jerome Lowenthal, Arie Vardi, Angela Cheng, and John Perry.
Her past principal teachers include Julian Martin and Nelita True. As Assistant Professor of Music at Bethel College, she has designed courses in applied piano, class piano, aural skills, and music history, and has served the music department as faculty-student accompanist. Dr. Lee has currently relocated to Boston, Massachusetts where she resides with her husband.
Rosa is such a great mentor for piano and music! She is patient, and has a keen sense of where I am at in terms of my understanding and technique. Not only my musical ability to play the piano improved tremendously, my sense of appreciation for music has deepened. The appreciation of music also translated to improving my relationship with others and increasing empathy. Would you like a world-class pianist looking over you to give you insight into her world? Have her as your teacher. If you're lucky, you might just get to experience the tradition that has been handed down from classical giants (she once told me her mentor at Eastman is a 4th generation student in the lineage of Beethovan!).

*** Lesson Details *** These details change depending on, whether you would like musical training or academic tutoring. Musical:
Music is fun and the lessons should be as well. When it comes to practice I recommend that students do spend time (1/2-1hour daily) outside of the lessons practicing to ensure that they see results. If you choose to practice only while in the lesson you will get better but it will be at a slower pace.
- Start with quick warm ups (these work to increase students fluidity with their instrument) - Work technique - Assign repertoire depending on skill level. - Work on assigned repertoire - Work on technical aspect of the pieces. Your student will learn much more about their capabilities and their instrument as they will learn many aspects of Music Theory.
I teach beginning- advanced piano lessons touching on posture, hand position, rhythm training, sight-reading, expression, and pop/jazz chord charts. If you want to learn how to play songs by ear that you hear on the radio, I can train you how to do that too! Once I feel that you have surpassed my ability to help you grow, I will be happy to pass you on to a more experienced teacher and attend all of your future recitals.
I teach voice beginner-professional, which includes classical repertoire and technique as well as Musical Theatre, Pop, Rock, Standards, Country, RnB,...you name it. The best part is that you will learn to sing in a manner that will not damage your instrument and in fact will work to fortify your instrument.
Academic: - Start with introduction to the standard. - Work on problems with material. - Present new methods to reach a solution. - Work on all assigned work. - Work on future work to give the student an academic advantage.
I am a hard working tutor that will bring the joy of the subject to our sessions of tutoring. I am strict at times, however, some of my students have referred to me as mellow. I will strive to bring your student up to speed and surpass even their own expectations. I love my students, and I want to see them succeed.

I really appreciate Luis for the practice he's given me. We worked on lyric analyzation and flow. We focused on speeding up the meter to work harder in performing faster. I have become better with expressing my vocals in a volume where I can sing a long with the music bed. I highly recommend Luis for anyone who is working on improving their vocal training.

Great lesson! Feel better equipped to order in Spanish now
I've been teaching all ages since 1991. As a full Scholarship student, I started by tutoring my fellow Piano Performance Majors, now I get joy watching children learn. I was taught by the rigid Russian method by contemporaries of Van Cliburn & Emanuel Ax who were all students of Rhosinna Lhevine. My approach is quite different, but still pass along the gems of wisdom and musicianship instilled in my musical lineage. Learn how, what, and how fast you want. I'm your guide for your musical journey!
Are you or your child interested in learning how to play piano? I am a former child prodigy and an experienced soloist / teacher whose talent was fostered by the highest of Russian Classical Pianist Pedigrees from a very young age. I have a lot to share. Learning the piano, isn't just about learning notes and playing them; it's about creating music, and conveying a story! I know how to teach that! And for all the moms out there- that means NOT having to listen to endless harsh ping-pang bland robotic piano practice. My goal is to create music from day 1. I have been teaching on and off since I was 18 in 1991. I formerly taught at a Yamaha School, and taught in my home on my beautiful Yamaha C7, but now being new to Texas, I will travel to you. My rates are very competitive, and I will give you a strong foundation, instill the art of
musicianship and teach you skills you can apply on your own and at your own pace. Learning an instrument should be fun and stress-free to foster a love of creating music. I enjoy teaching most, when you and/or your child are challenged in a fun and relaxed atmosphere! Please contact me if you have any questions. I am new to the San Antonio area, and am only looking to take on 5 students at the moment so I can who sure to bring my best for you. 🎶
I highly recommend Roni if you are interested in learning to play the piano or improving your existing piano skills.
As a retiree I found it difficult to find a teacher that would take on an older / beginning student and offer in home lessons. Her schedule is flexible and she is very accommodating of my obligations. I am extremely fortunate to have found Roni. She is an incredible pianist (she can provide links to some of her performances) who makes learning fun. I actually look forward to my lessons. She takes the time to learn about your musical interest and goals and then tailors your lessons to provide you with a positive, motivating and enjoyable experience.

Roni B is a treasure! So wonderful! We are so blessed to have found her.
There were several options in the valley, and you can never know if there will be that 'connection' with a new teacher.
Roni is patient and she got me! Knew exactly what I needed to learn.
I have had other teachers, and RONI B IS THE BEST!!!
Im giving her card to ALL my friends, even if they don't play piano!
Thank you Roni. Now don't get too busy so you can't work with you number one student lol!
I have taught piano for 30 years. I teach all styles of piano. My students enjoying performing as soloist, accompanists and ensemble. Many have attended music camps and participate in their school music programs.
Making music and Teaching music has always been a huge part of my life! Music has brought such joy to my personal life and the lives of my students and their friends and family. I teach music because it is such a wonderful experience for everyone involved from the practice room to the performance. I hold a Degree in Music Education from Kent State Univ. I have conducted both chorus and orchestra, established small singing groups and founded the Strings of Gold. I promised my own children that music would bring adventures, and they are all performing throughout the world today. Many of my private students experience new friendships at music camps, orchestras, bands, churches, and find a wonderful purpose in school through their participation in music programs. Many of my adult students have enjoyed the accomplishment of playing an instrum
ent and sharing their music with friends and family. I am excited that you are interested in taking music lessons! I look forward to sharing your musical adventure .
She is outstanding. I am very impressed with her teaching my daughter violin.

Cara is the best music teacher we've ever met. My daughter Amanda (now 6 years old) started learning piano from her 8 months ago. Before that Amanda learned piano for 1 year but didn't have good progress. Now, Not only can Amanda play piano very well, but also she can play violin well for 5 variations of Twinkle Twinkle, after only 9 violin classes from Cara. The most important thing is: Amanda is falling love with the music, which I believe will benefit her whole life. In our opinion, experience, fun, discipline and child-centered are the key to Cara's teaching success. We have met with her husband (a retired band director), and two daughters (both professional violinists), we can feel their love to the music and really admire their music skill.
Our friends thought we were crazy when they knew the fact that we need to drive 60 minutes single trip to take the weekly lesson, but after they see Amanda playing piano and violin, they think it well deserves it.
Cara is the best music teacher for kids in Metro-Orlando area. If you want your kid to fall in love with music, she is your best choice. Go Cara!
I teach a variety of styles of piano including classical, jazz, blues, rock, folk, and pop. I always start lessons with new students by getting to know what music they love to play and listen to, and I will develop my lessons accordingly.
If you have experience with piano, I will probably start by asking you to demonstrate your skill level by playing a song you know. If you are picking up piano for the first time, the first lessons will be devoted to learning correct posture and technique, and you will begin playing your first scales and chords. We will begin to work on simple exercises to get the left and right hands playing separately. After a few lessons, you will begin to learn your first melodies and repertoire.
After a few weeks, our lessons will likely take several different, but parallel trajectories. You will learn to play the lead melodies to songs as well as play the rhythmic accompaniment. This will involve learning the scales or collections of notes that make up ...
Thank you for visiting my profile and for your interest in studying music! Some of my greatest privileges have been studying and performing with master musicians from around the world in various styles, and I hope to be able to pass on what I have learned over the years.
My history with music
My lifelong love of music began early. Coming of age in the early 90s grunge rock era, I began letting out my teenage angst and adrenalin as a rock, punk, and metal guitarist in high school. While I became interested in jazz and classical midway through high school, the real turning point for me was seeing Leo Kottke play live for the first time. I was greatly inspired by his ability to play melody, bass, and chords all at the same time on one instrument, and it broadened my horizons as to what the guitar was capable of. I promptly went home an
d spent half the night practicing finger-picking and getting my hands to move across the fretboard. Fast forward years later, I devoted my education to the study of music education and classical guitar at the University of Vermont. I have always believed in the value in improving myself holistically as a musician, so in addition to classical guitar, I also studied jazz guitar, classical and jazz piano, performed saxophone in concert band, sang in large and chamber choirs, played in percussion ensembles, and routinely performed bluegrass, Appalachian, shape-note singing, and Celtic music with an old-time music group. I am currently finishing a master’s degree in ethnomusicology from the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa, where I have been studying various Asian and Polynesian music traditions from Japan, China, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Hawai'i. I have also done fieldwork in Japan, studying traditional Japanese koto, shakuhachi, and ichigenkin music. Drawing wisdom from so many places and people I feel has helped me develop strength and versatility as a musician and as an educator.
As part of my undergraduate degree, I worked at Burlington High School in Burlington, VT, teaching and conducting concert band, leading small jazz ensembles, and teaching music theory and composition. I have over ten years of experience teaching private lessons with students ranging from five-year-old beginners to advanced adults; from children with special needs, to non-native-English students.
My inspiration and philosophy
As a teacher, I like to keep lessons fun, relaxed, and flexible. I use different teaching materials depending on the style of music my students wish to pursue. I use Aaron Shearer's books for students who know they want to train in classical guitar, but I use a variety of other supplemental books and methods for students with other interests. For young and beginner players, I find it essential to work with familiar songs and melodies to keep lessons engaging.
Regardless of skill level or musical interest, I always develop each day's lesson and each student's curriculum to fit the needs of each student. I often create my own exercises to address individual concerns that students have. I make it my purpose as a music teacher to gently guide students to developing the technique and discipline to achieve their individual musical goals.
Ultimately, I believe that music--whether listening or creating--is an essential part of human experience. I am inspired by the power of music to bring people together, to foster passion and creativity in individuals, and to nourish the body and soul. It is my dream to pass on the many music traditions that have inspired me and brought so much meaning and wonder to my life.
If I seem like a good match to help further your musical goals, then I would love to hear from you!
Bill taught me everything I know about playing the guitar. He made the learning process fun. His enthusiasm about music in general is contagious. I would highly recommend Bill Rice to anyone looking to learn the guitar.

Bill was a fantastic teacher for my 13 year old son. He was patient and tailored the lessons to my son's learning style.

Bill is an incredibly patient and insightful teacher! He presented an approach I had not seen before by past teachers, which proved to be useful and inspiring. Thank you Bill for an awesome lesson!
I specialize in teaching beginning piano. I have experience teaching students of all ages and love finding ways to make learning music fun and engaging. I like to gear my lessons to fit each person's particular strengths and strive to make lessons both challenging and enjoyable.
Hi my name is Hailey! I love to sing and absolutely love sharing the gift of music with others. I began to sing and write songs when I was very young. As I got older I pursued my passion of music and have developed my voice and song writing abilities with the help of many amazing teachers. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a concentration in vocal performance, and have taken numerous courses in music including Vocal Pedagogy, Singing Diction, Vocal Literature, Music Theory, Music History, Song Writing, and Keyboard Harmony. If you would like to learn proper singing technique, while having fun expressing yourself, please contact me to help you!
Hailey is also a great great teacher, willing to pinpoint my strengths and weaknesses, highlight the strengths and then gently promote the weaknesses to help me be a better singer. Which is saying a tremendous amount, because my musical acumen/confidence/ability was a lot lower 2 months ago than it is now that I have worked with Hailey since then. Thanks!

Hailey has been the perfect piano teacher for our 10 year old daughter. She chooses songs, such as Disney music, that excite my daughter to learn, she establishes a structured practice schedule so my daughter makes practice part of her week, and most importantly she cares about her students and gets to know them as a person not just a piano student. My daughter looks forward to her piano lessons each week and we've seen great progress!
""Ms. Coenen is my piano teacher, and she is absolutely amazing! She is welcoming, kind, knowledgable, and extremely talented. She takes extra care to expl
ain music theory, concepts, and makes learning exciting and fun. She is also very patient. As an adult beginner, this patience is very much appreciated. I would HIGHLY recommend Ms. Coenen for individuals of any age who want to learn to play the piano professionally or for pleasure.""
"Paul is an excellent piano teacher. I came to him having forgotten how to read music after not playing for 10 years. I wanted to bring piano music back in
to my life. Gradually, over 4 months, I recovered everything I had previously forgotten and have progressed quickly with his patient yet encouraging and inspirational teaching style. Paul has introduced me to a wide range of music, which has pushed my piano playing to improve in all directions and on new levels. It has been a wonderful experience, and I am excited to continue and see where the music takes me."
"Teacher Wu is really kind and patient with a great teaching system."
"This 5 star review is long overdue. My daughter has been taking piano lessons from Jonathan for 2+ years, and we couldn’t be happier. Jonathan is an ext
remely knowledgeable musician, and his approach is a great mix of instruction, patience, and fun. It’s been an overwhelmingly positive experience."
"We love our teacher my daughter is only 7 and has had 3 lessons and I have seen so much growth in her and enthusiasm. My daughter really likes the way she
teaches her because she spends the time with her to help her understand the music and read the music not just play it."
"Its only my first lesson with this teacher, but it went really well. It was fun. We worked on new and different things such as scales and circle of 5ths.
He listened to me when I had questions and comments, very supportive. Listened to my whole song before critiquing. Very energetic teacher, did a good job of assessing my current ablity. He seems very enthusiastic and happy to be a teacher."
"She has been a great fit for my 7 year old daughter"
"Lynne is awesome! Today was my 1st session with her on piano and she was absolutely marvelous. She has a great personality, extremely educated and made me
feel very comfortable. She is an excellent teacher, was very patient and explained everything thoroughly. Highly recommended. Looking forward to going back. Thanks Lynne"
Plannig to learn to play the piano was an intimidating feeling. From the begining Javier eased my anxiety. He is very flexible and a

I am so glad I started and that he is my instructor. the experience is encouraging and will probably be the cause for me to continue on for awhile."
