Firstly, I want you to learn and enjoy the process of learning, including theory study. I struggled finding motivation to learn theory when I was a youth, and I have come to truly love and appreciate it as a musician now. This means I believe in working with a metronome!
I teach age ranges 5 and up, working primarily out of the Fabre book series, with additional materials for those wanting to play with chord structures.
I have experience working with both high functioning autistic and dyslexic clients, and I find great joy in discovering the best teaching methods for each student’s particular needs and goals.
What I do not teach is blues and jazz. I’m learning this genre and hope to one day be able to pass what I learn onto my students!
Keep learning, always. 🤓

I am so happy that I have such a sweet and knowledgeable teacher!"

When I first starting taking lessons with Scott I had never taken piano lessons or even knew how to play. Scott knows classical piano music very well and introduced me to great piano pieces for beginners to get started on learning how to play. The lessons will move at your pace and the challenge will never be no more than you can handle. Now I will most likely make it a long term goal to get better and better thanks to his help."
