For beginners, teacher will choose book based upon the student age and ability and parents will pay for the instructional book. I won't lie, the piano takes work. But, then again, everything worth while does. Both teaching and continuing to learn the piano has been a passion of mine all through my childhood and into adulthood, and I hope to help inspire the same love of the instrument in others. :)

About Leah

I have been learning music since I was 6 years old. It was a requirement in our house, but, nonetheless, growing up in a house of musician siblings had me excited to get started. With 13 siblings, you can imagine that our house was always full of some kind of music. Having grown up in that world

Leah is an excellent teacher! She is the third cello instructor I have had, and she is by far the best. Not only is Leah a superb cellist herself, but she is great at explaining concepts in a clear and encouraging way. I am in my late 50s, and I don't grasp new material as quickly as a younger student probably would, but Leah is able to diagnose the difficulties I am having and suggest effective ways to overcome them. I cannot praise her enough.
Jason
Leah is a strong cellist and very kind and patient with even young children.

"Luther is a fantastic teacher with experience in dozens of genres and instruments. Patient, knowledgeable, disciplined, flexible, and friendly, he works with you on whatever you bring to the table. He assigns reasonable tasks for each lesson to methodically get you to where you want to be, on any instrument. I've had many jazz piano teachers before, and Luther's approach is by far my favorite. He takes an active role in lessons, overseeing guided practice exercises and showing you how to sustain your own musical progress down the road. Don't think twice!"
