All my three kids have enjoyed piano lessons with Marty. The oldest for more than two years! We are moving out of the country, so unfortunately we have to leave her; I wish we could take her with us! She is such a dedicated teacher. My kids have learned so much from her, not only playing the piano but also music theory. She is also flexible in scheduling, so we could always find a time that worked well for our busy family schedule. We will miss her!

I am excited to offer piano lessons now! Beginner lessons (all ages welcome) will focus on music theory coupled with playing the instrument. It won't just be about pounding out the notes but learning all the different ways to understand the language that is music so that as the student gains proficiency they will be able to enjoy the experience rather than hating the drudgery of note-note-note practicing. I've taught out of the Alfred series - including the Adult All-In-One course, and the Faber series and am comfortable with either.

About Frances

Hullo! I'm Frances and I've been teaching private voice lessons since 2008. I'm currently accepting students ages 13 and up. In the past my students have been cast in roles in high school and community theater, they have participated in Regional Choir, and auditioned successfully for collegiate

We have tried other voice coaches and none of them were able to connect with my son. Frances was able to verbalize things in a way that had my son understanding things that he had already heard but not fully understood. This looks like the start of a great relationship. I am very happy we have met Frances.

Frances is very welcoming and friendly. My daughter loved her right away and is enthusiastic about her lessons.

Great first lesson. I was a bundle of nerves, Frances put me at ease. I look forward to our next lesson.

"We arrived to Anna after my son took piano lessons elsewhere with little progress. My son is interested in music, but lacked the confidence to push through skills he found challenging. This has changed under Anna’s direction, and our son is making excellent progress. We find Anna to be extremely knowledgeable and competent, and her passion for piano shows. Anna is patient and gentle, but she will undoubtedly push your child to do their best. She will get to know your child to determine their interests and work with them to achieve their goals. Highly recommended!"

"I was very interested in piano when I was in college, but I didn't have any background in piano. I took several piano lessons from Ben. He was always very patient and detailed in explanations. He also incorporated music theory to help me improve my understanding of music. I wanted to learn Canon in D, but it was too hard for me. Ben rewrote Canon in D to make it easy enough for me to play. After a few lessons, I learned the whole music!

Ben is also qualified in GMAT training and proofreading. Ben helped me with GMAT grammar, readings, and critical reasoning. He was exceptional in grammar! For the proofreading, he went point by point and gave valuable suggestions. He explained every correction to me to make sure I understood all of them."

"Fawn's lessons are fantastic and she strikes the perfect balance between professionalism and fun with her teaching. Most piano teachers will simply try to get you to play the right notes in the right places, but Fawn will always be looking to improve your technique, touch and musicality - giving you insights and advice from the world of professional piano playing. Very highly recommended for anyone - at any level - who wants to improve their piano playing or any subject in music that Fawn has knowledge of."
