I've been teaching piano for over 12 years to students of all ages. I studied classical piano under the tutorship for an classical pianist from Oberlin Conservatory and am currently on the piano faculty at Music and Arts in Franklin, TN. I'd love to help you!

You will get a excellent foundation for technique, style, sight-reading, harmony, and repertoire than will transfer to any other genre. Beginning students will start with a foundation for technique and apply these to basic repertoire, learn to read music, and play scales. Intermediate and beyond will build and improve on these skills to learn classical repertoire and more complex pieces.

Natalie is a NYU and BMI Workshop trained composer of songs, musicals, and concert music who has helped many songwriters find their voice and fine-tune their skills. She is particularly adept at identifying what is keeping a song from working (whether it be music, lyrics or both) and helping writer

Online Piano Teacher

I've been teaching piano for 7 years and love seeing my students discover their own musicality through piano! I specialize in teaching school-age kids, teens, adult beginners, and secondary instrument learners.

As a beginner, you’ll learn your way around the keyboard, increase your finger dexterity, and develop healthy playing techniques and body alignment. We will explore ear training and creativity from the beginning of your journey, while making connections to symbolic notation on the page. With continued practice, you’ll learn to read music fluently on the grand staff, allowing you to play songs you know and love AND notate and share your own compositions.

I'll make your lessons meaningful to you, by blending different resources to match your level and interests. I typically start younger students in Faber Piano Adventures or Alfred Basics books, but I choose each student’s materials to match their personality and musical background. We will also explore your favorite modern ...

Sarah is a kind and knowledgeable hoop instructor. I couldn’t hoop on my waist at all when I started taking lessons with her and now I am able to keep the hoop going indefinitely. And while working to improve my waist hooping I learned a variety of off-body tricks and combinations. Sarah is great at tailoring lessons to any skill level and focusing on your individual goals and limitations. She is also really friendly, approachable, and open to feedback. I would definitely recommend!

I have taken both in-person group classes and online group classes with Sarah. She always does a great job of catering to the students' levels and including some things everyone can do as well as some new things for everyone to learn!

Sarah is such a wonderful teacher with just the right balance of patience, sterness, and fun, perfect for my young child just learning to play.

"Ms. Alla is one of the best piano teachers I have ever had. She plans so much ahead that a student’s work will be to just follow her instructions. She guides and brings out the best music talent out of a person. She is so caring and available for her students to clarify all the doubts. She sets goals based on each student’s capability and ensures that the goals have been met. She is so organized that many times apart from my music lessons, I have realized how important it is to be well organized. I had the privilege of having her as Piano teacher for 4 years and she has helped me sail through until Grade 4. She helped me get a distinction and also Top Scorer award for ABRSM Grade 4 Piano in my state. It is a very great achievement according to me and it wouldn’t have been possible without her. Miss you a lot Ms. Alla!"

"Ms. Melody was always very patient with me. She learned the way I played and accommodated to help me improve personally. During the two years that she was my piano teacher, my skills greatly improved. Playing the piano became more simple and music often came naturally. She is incredibly skilled and caring towards all her students, and I was lucky enough to be one of them. I was very sad when I found out she was moving out of my state and would no longer be my piano teacher. Ms. Melody is an amazing woman and her new students will be excited to learn to play the piano."
