Music is a fun way to express yourself! Only it’s a little difficult if you’re trying to do it on your own. Trying to sit down and read music can take forever, and there’s a lot of words or symbols that might be confusing. All of that might discourage you to continue.
KEEP GOING! I want to help you understand what all this means so you can play the songs you wanna play.
Things you’ll learn

-How to read notes on a staff (sheet music)
-How to play scales
-How to play arpeggios

My enthusiastic teaching style makes learning music with me fun & exciting. My philosophy is to teach the individual by customizing the Music curriculum to the specific needs of the student. As partners in learning, the student will achieve the highest success through positive reinforcement & a positive learning environment. Students can expect to have their love of music nurtured as they gain technical competency through our lessons.

Expect to build a stronger relationship and understanding with music. I am not going to look for perfection. The most important thing is to connect with the music you're playing. Within a few lessons you will see confidence with your instrument grow. The first lesson, we will talk about the goals you are trying to achieve. We'll explore music theory, sight reading, creating original songs, playing by ear, and if you want, we can dive into the modern music industry. How is music made today?

I love teaching beginner piano! Piano takes a lot of music theory knowledge. I do my best to structure lessons so my students learn a little at a time and to make learning fun! I suppose something that sets me apart from other teachers is that I have an emphasis on ear training, not note reading in the beginning. Music learning theory informs us that music learning is best when it's "sound, before sight, before theory". I stand by this in my lessons and find that students make better progress this way.
