Piano is one the best instruments to learn when you approach music, because you can see how music actually works physically under your fingers more than any other instrument. Playing piano is not Rocket Science, I can teach you to play easier and faster than you would think. Within the first 2 lessons you will be playing simple chord structures of a song that you choose. My goal is to customize your lessons around your learning styles and musical preferences. I've played piano for over 30 years in the studio and touring all over the US, Mexico, and Central America. I can teach you how to play with seemingly effortless technique, how to create unforgettable piano parts, how to improvise solos, and bring thunderous energy into your playing venues! I look forward to speaking with you soon

Shon is very accommodating to helping you learn at your own pace. He is very patient, encouraging and insightful. Shon is very relaxed which helps me feel comfortable and not feel pressured. He gives reassurance all the time that the "growing pains" of learning guitar are normal things everyone fights through. I would highly recommend him.

Tyler is a wonder and talented musician who teaches. I have found the norm is that talented musicians play and the rest teach. Tyler does both wonderfully! He's a creative and encouraging teacher who know how to take complex material and explain it in a way anyone can understand! I highly recommend him to whoever is interested in learning a musical Instrument!

I've studied piano extensively for over 20 years and have successfully taught children and adults how to enjoy making music and develop their artistic side. My students quickly find they possess the inherent skills and critical thinking to learn, observe/self-correct, and succeed as young musicians from any starting point. Since every student has a different learning style, I make sure to include repertoire and curriculum that will make learning this musical language a fun journey.

If requested, lessons can include music notation, rhythms, technique and fundamental theory.

About Joseph

Joey is an anomaly in the world of cellists. By combining cello with beatboxing, he has created a unique genre: Classical Hip Hop.  Joey records live on stage with a loop pedal and produces intricate tapestries of harmony, melody, and rhythm. His beatboxing (vocal percussion) and funky cello

Joe was able to work with my daughter to approach some very complex material (using Abelton live to live loop and edit her songs) at a pace and with a vocabulary and tone that completely defused an otherwise intimidating situation. His calm, steady manner spiced with just the right touch of dry wit and his keen ear for a mean beat kept the lessons fun and very productive. Joey's not just a fantastic and unique musician and teacher, however, he's a great person and a fantastic influence to have in your life.

Joey is the best! A lesson from Joey is always a highlight of the week. I'd be surprised if you don't feel the same based on his talent, his warmth, his humor, and his intelligence.
Courtney
My 10 year old son has loved his piano lessons with Joey. We had excellent in-person cello lessons in the past, and the video piano lessons have been just as effective. Joey has several camera angles set up in his home so my son can see Joey's hands on the keyboard in real time during the lesson. We get a Zoom link for each visit and a recording of the visit afterwards, which helps with practicing during the week. I highly recommend Joey as a patient and talented instructor! The lessons have been a great activity / distraction for my active son during shelter in place. It's a win-win!

"Howard is a great piano teacher! My daughter started taking piano lessens with him two year ago, at 7 years old. I was so trilled at how Howard really tries every angle to interest her. He shows her different styles of piano music and lets her chose songs she likes to play. Since she started lessens with Howard, practicing became a bit easier. My 6 year old son just started taking lessens with Howard six months ago and already love it. Both of my kids love going to their piano lessens every week!"

"My two kids have now had five piano lessons with Drew and we have booked further.
My impression on day one had been that he is highly motivated, energetic and professional. His relative youth combined with authority makes him a great teacher for teens. First impressions were correct.
My kids like him a lot and they are already playing recognizable tunes. :)
I heartily recommend Drew for Flute and Piano."

"Highly recommend Bonnie. We have had over 50 lessons with Bonnie over the last 2.25 year period. My girls started with her when they were just 4 years old. Her program works. She created a fantastic and fun program with color coded animals that is great for all ages. I have friends who have never had a music lesson in their life and they can pick up her books and start playing right away. Her piano books also make great gifts for small children.

Taking lessons at her house
She has a lovely waiting room with comfortable chairs and toys. If you're Florida acclimated, bring a sweater!

Taking lessons online:
Though they are incredibly convenient, online lessons do not work well with my girls."
