About Danielle
I have been taking the world by surprise since the age of 4. I began studying at Queens College at 6 years old and was a recital pianist by the age of 12. I was a consumer of music, from the Music Theory lessons on Saturdays, piano lessons on Thursdays and voice lessons on Saturday afternoons, my life was filled with music.

It is to no one's surprise that I completed my first demo at the age of 13 and was performing for Queens Colleges audiences at 14. I went on the rank high in the NYSSMA series in both piano and voice. I also went on to study music in college and began touring with gospel troupes nationally. Since then I has done many workshops, Master Classes, tour dates, theatre shows etc. Too many to date. I am a sought after teacher for voice, piano and broadway singing. My international debut was in Sweden, singing the lead role of Director in "Kafka's Chimp" by Welsh composer, John Metcalf. I endeavor to teach you a natural and easy vocal production; to teach you a good solid technique of singing and to help you develop confidence and a polished delivery as a singing artist on and off the stage.

Our work together is an intuitive journey of discovery. Your participation in giving feedback about what you are experiencing during our sessions together as well as what happens in your practice sessions and in your performances is an invaluable tool for us to discover and develop your voice.

Practice: I encourage you to practice 20 minutes a day. An hour is ideal. Singing is like anything that you want to master: it improves with work and investigation. The voice is a curiously individual element of each person and aside from the basics of technique no two voices work the same. Our work together is to develop your unique voice and to discover how it works. Working outside our sessions on a regular basis will help you take ownership of your voice and technique.

Auditions/Performances: Please bring all music that you plan to sing in public to your sessions well in advance of the performance. We need time to investigate the music and its demands together; it will make you more confident and polished in your presentation.

In our Vocal sessions you will learn…
…how to use and blend the entire range of your voice.
… a healthy and free voice management.
1) You want to know what to expect from your vocal instrument on any given note and on any given word.
2) Training makes singing technique second nature; training relieves struggling to get the sound out and allows more focus on the performance.
3) Training allows for more tone coloration, a wider dynamic range, a full use and blending of the registers and greater stamina.
4) Extensive training and practical voice work gives a singer with long-range career aspirations the tools necessary to succeed in an incredibly competitive business. Whether the music is rock, pop, jazz, rhythm and blues, country, musical theater or classical, the trained singer can better meet the demands of a life on the stage as a singer.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Dedicated Music Space, music stand, grand piano, three windows

*** Specialties ***
Onstage singing: I have 29 years experience on the operatic, music theater and cabaret theatre stages.

Michael is awesome. I didn't need any singing lessons or opera lessons. I needed to learn how to project my voice better for public speaking and speaking in general. He was able to diagnosis my problems instantly and fixed things that I didn't know about.

And later we practiced a song and I discovered I had a good singing voice mostly because I was able to better project my voice from previous lessons.

Michael is one of the best vocal coaches out there. Highly recommended!

About Geoff
Hi, my name is Geoff and I play Double Bass, Bass Guitar, Cello and Piano. I played full time in a Symphony orchestra for 20 yrs., began playing Piano in 1963, Bass Guitar 1970, Double Bass 1977 and Cello 1982. I prescribe lessons complete with Solo, Ensemble, and Technical Playing and Reading Skills thoroughly as well as progressively. I make the lessons fun and interesting and relate well with all types of personalities. My students view me as a teacher and friend who' s a good listener when they have things like overloads in homework from school and other complications that kids face. They do great at NYSSMA and are asked to play in all ensembles at school. I love animals and my hobbies are hiking in the mountains including in snow and ice, camping, building things and work on my own car when I can. Most of my students stay with me for
8-10 yrs. and handle themselves very well in all ensembles. They play to earn scholarships for college as well and play for life. Happy Playing!

About Rebecca
My approach is both supportive and pragmatic, based on where each individual's skill set is right now and what your specific goals are. I've had the benefit of both formal instruction as well as a decade in the "school of hard knocks." Climbing up the ladder to earn my Equity Card on a Production Contact taught me a lot and I believe gave me a nuanced perspective as a performer.

Over 95% of my career is from attending open calls, including finding representation and my Broadway debut.

I continue to audition for film, television, and theatre, as well as perform in concerts and other venues. I write and produce my own work and am currently signed with Roth and Associates East.

About Jason
I am a professional drummer, recording artist, and educator, with over 26 years performing and teaching.

I graduated from Stony Brook University with a minor is Jazz, and as a founding member of the university's big band, the "SBU Blowage," under the direction of legendary trombonist, Ray Anderson.

Drum students will see immediate positive results from lessons, including improved technical abilities and the confidence to explore new musical pathways on their journey to find their own sound and style.

I teach symphonic snare drum, orchestral percussion, drum set, rudimental percussion, hand percussion with associated NYSSMA requirements.

I have experience with students of all different ages, abilities and experience levels. I've studied percussion and drum set since 1990, and rudimental and hand drums since 1999. I can teach students
to read music, as well as transcribe arrangements and transpose by ear. With consistent lessons, students can learn to play along to their favorite music, and develop confidence to practice and perform with other musicians in a group setting.

As a professional touring and recording artist, I am happy to share my knowledge of playing in multiple musical settings, and the "business" of playing music. My passion is for live performance, and it is essential to help students feel confident while playing for an audience.

Our focus will be on developing proper technique, listening carefully and critically to recordings, and building a foundational music vocabulary via reading and writing.

I look forward to sharing my knowledge and expertise with you!

Besides being one of Long Islands best percussionist, he happens to be the most warmest, patient, personable, and fun loving soul I have encountered. A noted bass player in my native Romania and Western Europe, I came to the United States in 1989. I was a winner in the 1990 International Bassists Society Solo Competition in New York where the renowned bassist Gary Karr heard me perform, and he made this statement about me. ‘Without hesitation I can say that he is one of the great talents of today.” Karr also described my great technical facility as well as my innate musicality with “He plays with a lot of soul and communicates musical ideas easily.”

My new career in America began to flourish when I starting studying at Julliard with Eugene Levinson and when I auditioned for the New York Philharmonic and became a regular performing substitute. A resident of Connecticut, I earlier served as assistant principal of the New Haven Symphony, principal bass of the Norwalk Symphony, as
sistant principal of the Bridgeport Symphony and have played with the San Francisco Symphony, the New Jersey Symphony, the Long Island Philharmonic and other orchestras. I have also appeared as soloist with the Greenwich Symphony Orchestra, the Connecticut Concerto Consortium, the Black Sea Philharmonic and other Connecticut and overseas orchestras. I was principal bass for the Greenwich Symphony for over twenty years.

My family stems from a family of artisans in the Romanian town of Focsani. As part of my studies at the Bucharest Conservatory, I was trained as a luthier – a maker of stringed instruments. Seeing the need for an artist-craftsman with a special knowledge of the double bass, I opened an atelier in Westport and one in Greenwich(Conn.) in which now services and rebuilds distinguished instruments for professionals and students. Deeply interested in the education of young musicians, I am a state-certified teacher in Connecticut and in the past have served on the board of the Connecticut Division of the American String Teachers Association.

I have organized a yearly double bass recital for my students, the first of its kind in the area, also performing in duo recitals as the Bottesini Bass Duo, the first in America to explore the virtuoso repertoire for two basses.
