I would assess the student's capability and begin with the level appropriate for the student. For new students with no experience, I would start out with simple hand positioning and playing the piano firsthand. We'll learn as we go with fine details of reading notation and techniques. I will introduce one or two subject to cover for each lesson. For students that have more experience and are at the beginner level, I will introduce technical practices and assign a piece of music. As for intermediate and advance, we will cover technical practice, assigned music, and music theory.

My name is Jessica. I love teaching, and adore my students.
I specialize in Voice, Piano, Ukulele, and Steel Drums.
I am energetic, excited, and love teaching the kind of music that makes my students excited, whether they love Taylor Swift, Willie Nelson, or Kendrick Lamar. I love creating songs with students as they learn to express themselves.
I can teach students how to read music, how to play by ear, how to play songs they love, and how to make each song their own.
I cater my lesson style to each individual person. I gauge where they are at and their personality style and respond in a personalized way to help them grow their passion for music and get some serious skills.
If you are looking for a highly regimented instructor who is very serious, I am not the one for you!

I'm an experienced Voice Teacher and I will help you learn songs (all music genres) using a healthy technique that explores the whole body as an instrument. Adequate breathing, good posture and a conscious and tension-free body will enable great artistic and personal growth. We will also focus on expressivity! Singing is about telling stories, so we will explore the poetry, the character and bring the songs to life by understanding the reason for each word and musical note!
There is nothing more gratifying than seeing my students' improvement and how they get more and more passionate and curious about music. My goal as a music teacher is to help people develop and unlock their creativity while giving them strong pillars to do so and I believe that I can help them explore their songs in a more comprehensive way due to the diverse background I have in different artistic fields, as a conductor, a pianist, actress, choir singer and opera singer. We will explore music from many different ...

Piano is considered an umbrella instrument, meaning, teaching kids to play piano helps them understand music more thoroughly, no matter what instrument they want to play later on. Even most singers first learn the basics of music theory and notation on the piano. Piano lessons at an early age lay out the basics of music-making in black and white (quite literally!). The great news is that you don't need to know anything about playing piano to inspire your children to want to learn. Below are a ha …
