About Lars
Hey...my name is Lars and I am looking forward in teaching you guitar. I've been teaching guitar for about 5 years. I fully believe that anybody can learn to play well, if they work hard, stick with it and has the passion for it. Because I did. It took a lot of work for me and did not come easy. It's never easy, nor should it be, because a person is learning something real and not just pushing buttons. But the rewards of getting better are fantastic, a sense of accomplishment and confidence is being built as a result of that hard work. And of course it's really fun and in my opinion the best thing in the world.

Lars is a really good teacher. He makes teaching fun. He teaches with great patience to my 5 year old since he is too little to handle guitar. My son loves the classes and eagerly waits for the next lesson. My elder one started to play lead guitar. We would highly recommend him.

Lars is an awesome guitar teacher for my 14-year-old son, Robert! He's cool 😎 and he's also a really talented instructor. Not everyone has the gift of teaching, but Lars is really good with kids and patient with beginners. It's also super convenient to have him come to our home.

About Justice
Hi, I am Justice
I'm a director and music producer with approximately 20 years in the music industry.
As the son of a preacher, I began music by toying with the musical instruments in my home, which transpired me to play for my father's church at the age of 14.
After 8 years of music, I became a member of various musical groups in Ghana/West Africa, and later participated in European tours with famous artists and other European groups. Living in Germany for 15 years, I studied music theory, which tremendously enhanced and polished my musical expertise.
I have become a passionate and talented music teacher, with a very unique and effective style of teaching.
Today, I teach all ages with the mission to inspire and bring out the music in them.
My teaching philosophy is based on my belief that learning is fun!
Through practice and help
ful instruction, I will work with you to achieve your goals in a relaxed, and encouraging environment with positivity and praise.

About Luke
Hello everyone! I'm excited to be a part of this wonderful group of teachers from all around the country in order to teach students of all skill levels interested in furthering their education.

To be very brief about my knowledge and experience, virtually all of my music education has been "self taught", in the sense that I never had a formal teacher, ironic as that may be. I learned what I know from Guitar World magazine, books, experimentation, and playing with other musicians. Outside of this, I've taken many AP courses in high school in Latin, Social Studies, Music Theory, and English, with English being my planned major in college. I've tutored friends in school all my life in every school subject, and I've been teaching guitar formally for about two years now.

Obviously if you're here for anything else besides music, most of
this description won't apply to you. However, I hope that by reading on, you'll understand that the enthusiasm I have for music is the same I have for literature as well as religious studies.

*** Lesson Details ***

The main thing that I tell all of my future students is that I design a whole curriculum based around their interests. This includes not only how to actually play that particular style with your instrument of choice (though the guitar is what I play), but often times includes at least some of the history of the genre, the music theory behind each style, gear recommendations, and ultimately how you can continue to learn without needing a teacher through the use of autonomous resources; it all depends on how far you want to go. I seek to deconstruct any genre for my students so that they can grasp the style easier and, hopefully and more importantly, use the fragments to create their own work of art.

My homework looks a little similar to the homework in the “School of Rock” movie; I'll make goals for each student that I expect them to meet or preferably exceed in time for our next lesson, and I'll usually give them recommended listening material as either a goal to achieve, as personal inspiration, or simply as more influence to absorb. How high of expectations I have for a student depends on what their personal goals are.
At the end of the day, however, the most important thing to me is making the learning process fun, exciting, and dare I say unpredictable, and I want each student walking away from my lessons excited for their own musical future, whatever that may look like.

About Andrew
Hello, my name is Andrew! I am 19 years old and a music student at Kennesaw State University. I currently am a Music Performance major with a concentration in Tuba and Euphonium, euphonium being my primary instrument. I have been playing euphonium since I was 11 and tuba since I was 12, starting in middle school band. As a performer, I found a great deal of success in being selected as a member of honor ensembles in Georgia all throughout middle school and high school, and performing in many gigs since I started attending college in the Fall of 2016. As a young musician myself, I find it very easy to connect and understand with my younger students, mainly because I remember what it is like to be in their shoes very recently in my life. I think you will find me to be a fun and lovable teacher/friend if you decide to start taking lessons wi
th me. The most important thing to me is not only that my students are progressing and become successful musicians, but also that they enjoy making music more, driving them to be better themselves.
