Steven is an excellent instructor. After the first lesson, my vocal chords were tired but felt like I actually did something! He is extremely well-prepared, explains what he is trying to do, demonstrates the exercises and then offers feedback on your efforts. Top notch instructor!

I've been teaching piano for over ten years, and my students have gone on to make piano a life-long hobby, play in recitals and at church, or just enjoy playing for friends and family. My objective as a music educator is to instill in students a lifelong passion for music. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to play basic melodies and as time goes on you'll begin to play your favorite tunes comfortably. I love working with students of all ages and levels, and I can't wait to meet you!

About Caleb

Caleb comes highly recommended from the Hannibal Family. My daughters (Sydney and Reagan) took over 2 years of piano lesson under the guidance and supervision of Caleb, through the USC School of Music, and found him to be an excellent choice for them. Not only is Caleb very knowledgeable and devoted to teaching in the area of music, he's also a great motivator and excellent with children because of his patience and passion for the arts.

Caleb was a great instructor. My son Tarun started taking Piano lessons when he was 7. Caleb was very patient with my son who can be very difficult to teach. Tarun has had another teacher since then but he still talks about Caleb. I would not hesitate a second if I had to pick Caleb as our Piano instructor if had a chance.

*** Lesson Details ***
I strongly believe that, if every child would be provided with an ideal environment, would gain extraordinary ability. There are no exceptions. No one can tell how able man is by the nature. What is known is the ability that is spoiled or developed. It cannot be denied that most children speak their native languages beautifully by learning about 3000-4000 words by age 5 or 6. Nothing can clearer demonstrate of the original power of the human mind. Through the years of studying and teaching music I realized that this is the most important concept for developing each kid's talent, to increase his or her ability to the maximum. Therefore I am combining the great methods of teaching violin. The Suzuki method and the Russian school method. Suzuki method helps at the earliest stage of playing an instrument and I am using later Russian school method for more advanced period of studying.

"I had no prior vocal or musical training of any kind--I can't read music--when I began voice lessons with Laura. All I had was a passion since childhood that I finally got the nerve up to pursue. The lessons were a wonderful experience from the very beginning. Voice may be the most challenging instrument to learn, because the teacher can't "play the instrument" to demonstrate technique. Laura has a remarkable talent for communicating vocal techniques and concepts with inventive and vivid visualizations that helped me understand the relationship between my body, my voice, and the sound I produce. I loved the music of Gabriel Faure, but never imagined I could sing it. Laura had all the confidence that I could, and we jumped right in. Faure's beautiful art songs, as well as others by Reynaldo Hahn and Ernest Chasson that Laura introduced me to, are now a part of me. I learned so much in the two years we worked together before Laura returned to her hometown of Denver, and miss her terribly!"
