As a teacher, I strive to help my students develop a mindful and musical ear by stressing a genuine appreciation for music beyond the mechanics of piano instruction. For advanced students, I challenge them with an increasingly more technical and demanding repertoire. For the past several years, I sought and created opportunities for my students to perform in public and build their confidence, such as music competitions and local concerts.
* I will consider 30 minute at home lesson.
About Chiacheng
In 2004, I received my master of music degree in piano performance from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. In 2006, I entered the Doctor of Musical Arts program at the University of California, Santa Barbara, with full scholarship in piano performance and worked in the

I welcome piano students of all ages and levels of experience. I don't have a set curriculum or required method book, as I feel that it's important to tailor lessons to the individual student. I work with my students to learn how to read music and feel it's important to include theory and ear training to have a more complete understanding of how and why we do what we do as we're playing. I specialize in classical music, but am happy to work on music from other genres such as rock, pop, and Broadway, or others. I feel this allows my students to be fully engaged at their lessons when the music we're working on is something that interests them.
About Molly
I have loved music almost all my life. I began my lifelong journey to immerse myself in learning piano at age seven. At thirteen, I added violin lessons as well. By the time I reached high school, I knew that music would be my major in college, and that music would always be a vital part of my life

I have been teaching private piano, violin, guitar, and ukulele lessons for ten years. I won competitions, hundreds of dollars, and a scholarship through the Desert Valley Music Teacher Association (DVMTA). I have written and self-published two piano books with more in the works. I have worked on a Music Theory degree at MCC and plan to transfer to ASU to finish my bachelor's. I help students find the fun in music again with many involved music games and incentive programs. I instill a love and confidence in students of composing their own music from a young age.
About Courtney

Popular Piano Articles from our Blog
Need to work on your major or minor scales? Piano songs abound by both classical and contemporary pianists that can help you improve your skills. Here, St. Augustine, FL Heather L. shares her recommendations. Even as a piano teacher, I can be sympathetic to students who find themselves practicing major and minor scales over and over without any variation. Scales are often cited as the least favorite part of taking piano lessons. Sometimes, well, a lot of the time, the best way t …
