Private Piano Teacher

I have been playing piano since the age of six. Originally classically trained, I made a change to learning Jazz after hearing it on the radio one night while still in high school.

I began my teaching career in 2007, providing private piano instruction to beginners at a small, privately owned music school in Laurel, Maryland.

After the school closed it's doors in the Fall of 2011, I continued working with many of the students privately. It is these efforts I continue to this day.

Having the opportunity to work 1 on 1 with students and see their progression and development on a week to week basis is a truly, rewarding experience that I feel fortunate to be a part of.

Ian is a wonderful piano instructor. My 6 year old has been with Ian for some time now and I must say his patience is exceptional. He teaches in ways that my son can easily remember and makes the lesson fun. My son always looks forward to his piano lessons and he has learnt a lot in 2 months. I have had some experience with piano instructors but Ian is exceptional. I highly recommend him as an instructor to other children

Very knowledgeable, patient and thorough instructor who knows his instruments very well. He teaches you how to understand the piano, rather than just learning to play it. This quality is what sets him apart from other instructors. Keep it up Saad! 5/5 for me!

Private Piano Teacher

I've been teaching piano lessons for almost 10 years and I offer weekly private lessons to beginner, and intermediate students from age 4 through high school. The piano lesson include a balance of theory, ear training, sight reading and repertoire appropriate to the student's level and musical ability.
So get ready to make some music! I'll make sure that each lesson will challenge your level of concentration and ambidexterity. Using both hands together, we'll slowly begin to play a series of simple, but melodic tunes with the right hand playing the lead, and the left hand adding harmony.

I'm comfortable teaching piano to children who are beginners only.

About Diane

My journey in music began when I was around 5 years old and first heard the children's choir sing in church. My mother used to tell me that I would beg her to let me sing in the choir but she would always have to tell me I wasn't old enough. As soon as I was old enough, she enrolled me in churc
