Learn fundamentals of how to play, yet allowing students to learn other styles of piano music they are interested in.
We play games and activities to help each student develop their piano potential. Currently we're playing water balloon games with rhythms, notes on the piano and staff. The students love how piano lessons can be incorporated outside.
Providing opportunities to play in the community, that produces more experience and confidence as a pianist.
Students complete tasks and musical concepts to help them succeed as a musician.
Spend time creating and composing new songs through games and activities, including Crazy Critter Composing. We make up songs about events that happen each day.

About Andrew
Obtained an Associates in Arts at Butler County Community College, El Dorado, KS.
Obtained a Bachelors in Music Education from Wichita State University, Wichita, KS.

ultimate potential, through activities and diverse learning concepts.

All levels are welcome. I teach children as well as adults. Beginners, Intermediate, advance. I teach piano, and I explain the music theory and add historical information if the student is interested. I encourage singing while playing piano, if the student is inclined.

About Anna
Professional, active musician will share the joy of playing music with the students. You can count on having fun, effective lessons, and real results fast!

I was born in Cracow, Poland. From an early age I had a deep interest in all types of music. I was encouraged by my parents and quickly developed a talent. I began my musical education at the age of seven studying piano. I studied at The Frederic Chopin Academy of music in Warsaw, Poland and then at the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University where I received a Bachelor of Music Degree in French Horn performance. Later I received a Master of Music in French Horn Performance and post Master Certificate, both from the DePaul University. I am an active freelancing musician in the Chicago area. (Chamber Opera of Chicago, Northbrook Symphony Orchestra, Oak Park and Riv
er forest Orchestra, Skokie Symphony, Lira Ensemble, Highland Park).
I have been teaching piano, music theory and French horn in the Chicago area for five years. I enjoy working with both children and adults.
To broaden my knowledge about teaching I completed courses: Studio Teaching as a Career, Teaching Excellence, and Brass concepts at DePaul University.

*** Lesson Details ***
Students will learn to play piano or horn in a pleasant atmosphere. Additionally they will learn elements of music theory so they can quickly start to play on their own. This will broaden their understanding of music and they will be able play pieces they like. I have method books and studies for any level of playing, but students are welcome to bring their own. I think anyone can learn to play and I can help to achieve this dream. I recommend the book by Daniel Coyle: The Talent Code. Greatness Isn't Born. It's Grown. Here's How.

*** Studio Equipment ***
DePaul University - regular pianos available rooms reserved
At Home Studio- Casio keyboard in living room, french horn,
seating for parents.
In case of horn students they would have to have their own mouthpiece and later on their own instrument. I have breathing equipment to help with playing as well.

*** Travel Equipment ***
My method of transportation would be CTA and walking :)

*** Specialties ***
I specialize in fun and effective teaching. I teach piano, french horn, music theory, ear training. Music is fun and this is how I teach.

I loved Ms. Anna's enthusiasm and constructive criticism. I have been playing horn for 7 years, and this was my first lesson. I have a ways to go, but I loved how she was willing to help me and give me tips in ways that you wouldn't get in your typical band class. I am definitely looking forward to our lessons!! 10/10 recommend for anyone looking for lessons, whether it is your first or your 100th

Anna is a great teacher. We started off with 10 lessons to give our 11 year old son a head start as he was keen to switch from Trombone to French Horn. With Anna's help, he made it! French Horn is a difficult instrument to play compared to other brass woodwind instruments, and finding Anna to help our son has been really beneficial. We highly recommend Anna and we will be signing up for more lessons. In addition, to those who are considering Online lessons, they have been great. We have been using a good webcam (Logitech from Amazon) together with Skype and it has worked out. Thank you!

The guitar is the instrument with which I have developed bad habits and posture over the years, but in addition to correcting these things, I really needed help with music theory. Also, as opposed to being a kid with all the time in the world to practice and study, I'm a 40-something with a busy, full-time job in the middle of my daily life. De'Anza was flexible enough to work with these issues of mine while still keeping me focused on a positive, effective lesson plan. That is the mark of a professional. Thank you De'Anza!

She Inspires my daughter to want to learn and to grow as a musician. In the last few months of studying with De'anza, my daughter has notably improved vocally as well as learned so much more. For the last year I have been taking piano, viola and violin lessons online with DeAndre. He is a natural, insightful teacher and I look forward to years of lessons with him. I would absolutely recommend him.

I'm a beginner with the violin and viola and an intermediate pianist. I was doubtful at first that I would be able to learn through a video chat. I'm amazed at the detail DeAndre can pick up just by watching a video chat. There have been many times when we just did the lesson over the phone with no video and he was able to tell that my fingering hand was in the wrong position or I was holding the bow wrong just by listening over the phone!

On and off through my life I've taken piano and viola lessons (I'm 46) and was never able to get very far. I found my teachers discouraged me in many ways without trying to. DeAndre has been fantastic. With his instruction I've been able to do things I never thought I would ever be able to do. He's excellent at giving feedback about the things I'm doing wrong but in a way that keeps me positive and makes me aware of the things I'm doing well and the things I need to improve.

DeAndre is absolutely worth the time and money.

My daughter is extremely shy and introvert, she said she felt comfortable with DeAndre. From my observance of him interacting with her he is very patient and is able to work well with young beginning students. My daughter is 11 and her only experience was playing with her strings class last year in 5th grade. You can tell DeAndre has a very calm personality that translates into his lessons with his students. That is such an important quality to possess when working with young beginning students. Thanks for a great lesson we look forward to many more with you.

I was homeschooled all of my life up to freshman year of high school. I knew how to play the drum set by teaching myself so I played along with songs and just did what felt right. I joined band freshman year under the direction of Jayme. I had never ever read any kind of music or rhythms or anything. By senior i had qualified for two 1's at state solos, a 1 for a state percussion trio, District Symphonic band, and colleges offering me scholarships.

Piano classes will be geared not only with piano technique, but with music theory as well. Piano is a great instrument to learn because it is the instrument that allows you to be able to transfer to other instruments, if you desire. Piano lessons will be geared towards music reading and technique. Once a basic and proficient music reading is achieved by the student, lessons can begin to infuse music not only from the method books, but from student interest.

About Kadhine
Hi! My name is Kadhine Rodriguez. I started my teaching career in Tampa, FL while I was in college teaching private voice and piano. I received my bachelors degree in Music Education from the University of South Florida in 2011. During my time in Tampa, I was heavily involved in a lot of performances, both inside and outside of school. In addition to studying and teaching privately, I also worked in a community theater in Tampa where I not only performed in shows but was the musical director to their youth theater shows. After graduation, I came back home to Miami to start my public school teaching career. I have been teaching in Miami Dade public schools since 2011 and have taught PK-5 general music, choir (all levels) and guitar (upper elementary and middle school). In 2015, I was fortunate enough to become a Little Kids Rock certified
teacher which has taught me about guitar and rock bands. In 2016, I graduated with a masters degree from Florida International University, also in Music Education. I look forward to working with you and/or your child in your musical journey!

I currently play piano in a concert band and a jazz band. I have been playing since 1st grade and I took lessons until last year. I am a full-time student and love to work with all ages.

About Cynthia
I am a professional musician and have been playing piano since first grade. I also play saxophone and trombone. I currently play piano in concert band and jazz band at my school. My students can start learning the very basics or start with prior knowledge. I can teach until they surpass my levels. They learn new songs each week and every lesson, they come in with the previous weeks songs and play them for me. If they are played mostly correct, they move on to the next song. If not, we can choose to continue working on the same song or move on to another song that utilizes the same skills.

I have been learning Spanish since seventh grade. I am currently taking Spanish courses at school and am also learning every day. Students learning Spanish, can start at the very basics or come in with prior knowledge. I can teach students of all ages t

I am great with all ages including people who have disabilities. Recently, I worked summer camps for my local Special Recreation Association. I am CPR and first-aid certified and have gone through training for people with disabilities.
