I LOVE teaching piano, and all the elements that come along with learning this instrument. Whether you want a solid classical training or you'd like to build on the basics to play with lead sheets, we'll have a blast going through the paces, learning to make this instrument fun!

I am a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love of music. I have been teaching professionally for 17 years. It is important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson.

I am a pianist, accompanist and experienced teacher based in Baltimore, having obtained my Master's degree and Graduate Performance Diploma in piano performance from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University. I currently hold positions as graduate accompanist at the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University, pianist and music coordinator at the Patapsco United Methodist Church, and piano instructor at a few music schools in Baltimore and privately. I enjoy working with students of all levels and age groups, and am experienced in teaching many genres including classical, pop, and Christian music. I guide students through an artistic vision that helps them understand, appreciate, and excel at the artistic and technical aspects of piano playing, and I enjoy sharing my love for music with my students and helping them build fun and fulfilling experiences through the journey of music learning.

My youngest piano student is 3 and is doing incredibly well! My oldest student was 78 and had always wanted to learn to play. I can help you with your piano goals from beginner to advanced, from the basics of reading music and playing a song for your family to performance auditions and everything in between.
I use a number of methods, however, I am open to help you learn through a method of your choice if you have one you enjoy. I will guarantee to having you play a familiar song within one month!

I've been teaching piano for 26 years and my students have gone on to develop a deep love of music, win awards and study Music in university. Within the first few lessons you'll be able to play simple songs and as time goes go, you'll be able to perform like a pro! I specialize in classical and jazz music, typically use a variety of lesson books and have the following tools available for your lessons: piano, music library, YouTube and more. I love working with eager students of all experience levels!
