This 5 star review is long overdue. My daughter has been taking piano lessons from Jonathan for 2+ years, and we couldn’t be happier. Jonathan is an extremely knowledgeable musician, and his approach is a great mix of instruction, patience, and fun. It’s been an overwhelmingly positive experience.

My lessons are personally tailored to each students learning style. I want each student to feel empowered and confident, in a fun and inspiring environment. Throughout the lessons we will talk about goals and preferred music styles, and move at a comfortable pace so that the student can feel confident in their progress. Annual recitals are offered for those who wish to showcase their progress, though they are not at all a requirement for those who do not wish to participate.

Why do some melodies stand the test of time and others don't? Why are some words better choices than others? How do people write good songs? It takes a lot of time, some guidance and mostly discipline. I will help you to stay on track and provide support based on personal industry experience.

A 30 or 60 minute lesson is a great add-on to a voice lesson and it grants the opportunity to learn how the two are connected. If done properly, the two can support one another, helping the singer and the writer share a both voices, the written and the physical voice.

About Jessica

Hi! My name is Jessica and I can't wait to help you find YOUR voice because YOUR voice is unlike anyone else's . No two people sound exactly the same; isn't that a beautiful thing? I truly believe it is, so much so that I've dedicated over two decades of my life to it. After double majoring at the

My goal in taking lessons was to get back to singing after a long hiatus of lessons and performing... to reclaim my love of singing and break through my insecurity. Jessica's warmth, humor and expertise helped me do just that. I learned new techniques and had a full on very emotional breath through right in her living room!

She made me feel safe, confident, and helped me learn about my unique voice as well as shared her expertise in proper breathing and gaining vocal control and increasing range.

In sum, Jessica is an incredible vocal coach and I'd definitely recommend her.

Jessica is an amazing teacher! She not only understands all the technicalities behind singing but she works to your strengths and helps you cultivate both your inner and outer voice! I felt very comfortable with her and even got emotional a few times as it was such a powerful experience to be able to be vulnerable and engage in something I love so much. Jessica is the perfect mix between professional and experiential where you'll learn skills but you will also have fun doing it. I highly recommend Jessica for your musical needs. I look forward to my future sessions!! It also helps she is incredibly talented! An all around win and positive experience :)!

"Ryan is my daughter’s piano teacher, and she looks forward to her lessons every week with him. She is 10 years old. He focuses on ear training, and site reading with note recognition, as well as rhythms and time signature, but he really delves deeply into the theory of music with her, something not all piano teachers would do with the 10-year-old. When she joined a band at school, we found out that she truly understands the structure of the key signature, and how to count out 16th notes!! Very impressive :-). Feel free to contact me anytime for further questions, I would give him my highest recommendation."

How to Fix Fret Buzz (Guitar Buzzing) Once and For All

You've got the fingerings memorized and the transitions smooth as ever - but then, without fail, that dreaded fret buzz comes out. Extra noises - we're talking humming, buzzing, scratchy amps, and the like - are often the bane of guitar players, and it's something that beginners all the way up to advanced players deal with.
