I have known Gary for a while now, but only recently started taking lessons with him. He is very helpful and professional for every lesson. He answers all my questions and has suggested materials for me to practice in order to improve my playing. I have already learned a lot from the few lessons we have had. I enjoy our lessons and look forward to our next one!

Private Piano Teacher

I have been teaching private piano lessons for five years, and I love working with children of all ages and skill levels. I have been playing the piano for 17 years, and began at a very young age. Because of this, I strongly believe that if there is a desire to learn, the age you start does not matter. I work well with both beginner level students and intermediate level students. I was taught using the Suzuki method, and I use parts of that method in my own teaching. I also incorporate basic music theory lessons into my teaching.

About Abigail

I'm currently a student at Eastman School of Music, majoring in Piano Performance. I began taking piano lessons when I was two years old and loved every minute of it. I enjoy working with children of all ages, and strongly believe that if there is a desire to learn, the age at which you begin does

I love seeing students learn to make music with their instruments and learn to read music. A solid beginning gives the student the ability to go on to learn and play music successfully! All ages are welcome.

I specialize in teaching beginning piano, and the vast majority of my students are beginners. All of my piano students use Nancy and Randall Faber's Piano Adventures series, which has adapted versions for very young learners, older beginners, and adult learners. Students will have music theory and history incorporated into every lesson, and will usually have a homework assignment incorporating these as well. Once a student has mastered the basics, I will introduce classic literature appropriate to his or her level. I encourage all of my piano students to participate in OMEA Solo and Ensemble contest when they reach the appropriate age and skill level.

John is a very effective teacher. I took bass lessons and I have improved so much. John is an amazing teacher and I would recommend him to anyone looking to learn the bass guitar or upright bass.
Steve
Jonathan taught me when I was around middle school age and has left a lasting impression on how I approach the bass and music 10-ish years later. Under his tutelage I learned music theory, techniques, and all sorts of different genres and styles.

His lessons were always very professional. I always felt challenged, but not overwhelmed, by the material being taught. He also made it easy to be interested in the lessons; he would always ask if there's any song or genre that I wanted to learn and that sort of thing.

Overall, definitely a 5/5 top shelf educator and musician.

"Quite honestly, there aren’t enough complimentary words I can use to describe our experience thus far with Enoch. My daughter was very nervous about taking piano lessons. However, Enoch has made the lessons not only productive, but fun! He is extremely patient, and never makes her feel self conscious. The biggest testament to Enoch’s teaching is the fact that my daughter smiles the entire lesson, laughs and talks about the lesson for the forty minute drive home, and is motivated to practice, which frankly, surprised me. We couldn’t ask for a better instructor, and I would highly recommend him to anyone interested in taking up the piano."
