I teach piano in the same manner in which I teach every instrument. First I teach students the rudiments of the instrument. Also I teach them how to read and a bit of music theory. From that point I like to follow the students lead. They bring in songs that they would like to learn, or possibly how to play a certain style like Funk, or Blues, or how to approach a classical sonata. At every point I try to point out general aspects of music that need to be learned from the material that they choose.

I have played the piano for over 20 years and believe it is the most versatile instrument there is. I love working with beginners and helping them feel comfortable maneuvering around the keys. Even if you eventually want to play another instrument, the piano translates incredibly well to all other instruments.

Our son experienced a double-stroke/traumatic brain injury at birth. During his life, my wife and I have constantly implemented as many therapies and different learning environments, as possible. Not surprisingly, we have read how music can facilitate learning for children in various subjects and even enhance many of their skills that could be used in other areas.
As parents, we believe it has been a true blessing, finding a teacher such as Jenny, and we are very fortunate to have her as our sonâs piano teacher. Through Jennyâs great patience and teaching methods, our 4-year-old son, today, is able to read and play his notes. We believe that this is possible because Jenny is a very experienced teacher knowing when to modify and implement the lesson plans in order for one to reach their full potential.
What a joy it is to see our son read, comprehend, and play his music. We are greatly appreciative for Jennyâs expertise, patience, and special skill of possessing the ability to teach many walks of life how to play the piano."
