Bill has been a very good piano instructor! He is very flexible and understanding of our busy schedule and does his best to accommodate us. He has taught a 13 year old girl to play Taylor swift songs, which are her favorite! I would highly recommend bill to anyone trying to get their children into piano!

I teach piano to students of all ages and levels. I try to make it fun while helping you to reach your goals. Whether you want to play for enjoyment or play in recitals or bands, we can get you where you want to be. The type of music studied (classical, pop, jazz) depends on the student. If there is no preference, I encourage learning different genres.

About Sue
I enjoy teaching students of all ages and levels. Each lesson is customized to meet the individual students' needs and goals. I have over 15 years of teaching experience.

My education in music is extensive. I was principal cellist at the Interlochen Arts Academy orchestra in Interlochen, Michigan. I have a Doctorate from Indiana University in Music Composition and Music Theory. I also studied piano and cello at Indiana University. I have a Masters degree in music from Butler University in Indianapolis. My major was composition but I also studied piano.

My teaching experience is also extensive. I have taught intermediate campers at the Interlochen Center for the Arts summer camp as well as at Butler University and Indiana State University. I have been writing music and teaching private piano, cello, music theory, and composi
tion lessons in Charlotte, NC for the last ten years.

My compositions include solo and chamber pieces as well as electronic works, symphonic band works, and orchestral works. In 2004 I won the Judith Lang Zaimont award from the International Association of Women in Music.

Christina is super patient with my teenage girls! Her gift has so graciously been translated into a new creative outlet for my girls! She has cultivated the art of teaching in such a way that my kids treat their lesson like a session. There's a sense if appreciation woven into the way Christina teaches that helps her students love what they are learning! Makes nagging the girls to do daily practice a non-issue! They love trying out what they've learned! Love, love Christina! She is truly a gem! -Shana W. (Cassie and Scotlyn's mom)

I have been teaching piano for about 3 years, and over that time had 4 students. They were all completely new to the piano (and music in general) but by the time they finished taking lessons, all 4 students were able to play music in church, and just for fun at home! I love being able to take a completely new student who is willing to learn, and watch him/her learn to play and even enjoy (yes, enjoy ;) playing the piano.

Hannah is very sweet and gets along great with my daughter. They are having fun, and learning at the same time.
I love the hour-long lessons. It feels like there is actually time to do something...rather than rushing through a 30 minute session. They actually have time to discuss WHY something works the way it does, and I think it helps to cement the important concepts.
