With over 10 years of experience teaching music privately as well as in a classroom environment, Joseph is skilled at facilitating students with various learning styles and abilities. He is trained in classical piano and has achieved an ATCL degree in Piano from Trinity College, London.

I have been teaching private Piano, Brass and Woodwind lessons over the last 10 years and have been a professional musician since I was in High School. I believe a balance of instrument playing, ear training, and theory are important in learning music. My experience allows me to help students build a foundation on their instrument and music knowledge that gives them the potential to have a lifelong appreciation and skill. This experience also allows me to cater to each individual student allowing me to manage each lesson towards their individual needs and desires.

Every student that I teach is treated as an individual. I work with them on their particular set of weaknesses, whether it be their overall musicianship, physical approach (technique), or knowledge of theory. Most importantly, I help my students achieve their own particular set of goals in a low-pressure environment. While I always find suitable repertoire for each student, I am happy to have students bring in pieces that they wish to work on. Above all else, I treat each one of my students with great respect.

It is wonderful that you are seeking to pursue your musical passions and learn to play the piano. As your teacher, I am invested in your personal growth and I make custom lesson plans based on what you want to play and improve upon. In my lessons, I teach music theory, grand staff reading, pop piano and jazz as well as supplementary skills like audio production and songwriting if requested. I'm currently in my final year at university studying piano performance and audio production and I have over 2 years of experience teaching private lessons. Beginner/intermediate players are preferred and all ages are welcome! I am happy to give a free consultation before any commitment to make sure that my teaching style is a good fit for you!

I have been playing piano for 23 years and cello for 16 years. I love sharing music with others and seeing them grow to love music as well. I am currently a pianist for the KC Ballet’s ROAD program. I have a Bachelors of Music from Lindenwood University. I have been a piano accompanist for 7 years. I taught 5th grade Orchestra Club in the Fort Zumwalt School District and was a substitute teacher for Orchestra classes for 3 years. I have been teaching private lessons for 10 years.
