You will learn how to play and identify notes on the keyboard, read sheet music, learn rhythmic values, play chords, and so much more. The piano is a very diverse instrument. It is a great tool to teach a student about music in general. In addition to learning how to play the piano, you will lean many basic music theory concepts.

We will work on whatever style the student will like to learn! If they are a beginner, we will go through all of the basics slowly and very thoroughly. I like to start by having my students get familiar with the piano and exploring all of the sounds it can make. Students will learn how to identify notes on the piano and also through reading music. Lessons will always be fun and engaging!

Because I wanted my daughters' love of piano to develop naturally -on their own time, I wouldn't force them to practice. Now, starting their fourth year of lessons, my daughters enjoy learning, playing, writing music, and they look forward to the recitals. I have very much appreciated Jennifer's patience and understanding of this process. She has helped shape a love of piano that will stay with my daughters forever."

Jeanne is a great person and very easy to communicate with and I personally think that makes for a nice teacher/student relationship. I can ask her questions and she explains things very well. I feel in the 4 short weeks I have been working with her that she has taught me quite a bit. Each week I leave there with something new to challenge myself with. I would highly recommend Jeanne as she is a wonderful piano teacher. Thank you Jeanne. I look forward to this journey of learning."
