We begin with exercises to develop technique and train for agility, musicality and music theory. Classical music is used but not exclusively as we explore the many different genres of music! Ear training is also offered so that the student may be able to play by ear as well as reading music.

About Tim

My wife and I have been teaching piano lessons in the Kansas City area for more than 20 years. We have studios in our home; she teaches upstairs and I teach downstairs! I am currently accepting new students and welcome the opportunity to see them grow and experience the joy of piano playing. W

Carolyn is an incredible teacher and a fantastic role model. Her encouragement, patience, skill and attention to detail has resulted in my daughter having learned (and continuing to learn) more than we could have ever imagined musically (voice/piano), and about performing on stage. Being Carolyn's student has also resulted in our daughter having more self confidence and higher self esteem. Carolyn brings out the best in her students and the dedication that she has for them is unparalleled. It has been a joy to watch our daughter grow as a musician under Carolyn's instruction.

Today what's the first lesson for my two girls with Carolyn. All I can say but the lesson was absolutely amazing my girls came out extremely inspired with lots of exciting homework to do they couldn't wait to show me what they've learned and couldn't wait to start practicing Carolyn was everything we were hoping for and a lot more. I have no doubts that would have made the best choice who could possibly make. My girls can't wait for their next lesson.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👏👏👏👏

I enjoy providing a foundation of good technique and music theory. I teach the traditional method of reading music. I welcome adult beginners as well. I also encourage serious voice students to add piano to their studies to improve their musicianship, help them learn their material independently, and enable them to play for themselves in practice

I love Roberta. She is so knowledgeable, professional and friendly...a wonderful combination to have in a teacher. She is patient and thorough. I would highly recommend her.

Roberta is everything you would want in a teacher. She is exceptionally talented herself and knows how to share her knowledge with others. She is especially very kind and nurturing in an environment which could be quite intimidating for a beginner like me. You can tell she truly enjoys teaching and gets excited to see her pupil learn. I have learned so much in a short time.

"I've had a few piano instructors so far and Lulu is absolutely the best. She often came up with creative ways to teach students and her piano lessons were so much fun! She was also very strict which really kept me on my toes and I've made so much progress since I started taking lessons from her. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to take piano lessons regardless of your age and proficiency. Give her a try and you will not regret it!"

"Glynis has made this experience exactly what I needed. As an adult who works full time and hasn't had a piano lesson in decades, I was initially unsure what to expect. Glynis masterfully assessed my ability, my available time and my goals, and she tailored a 20-lesson program perfectly suited for me. Most importantly, she pushes me when I need to be pushed, gives me a break when I am overwhelmed, and reminds me to focus on my original goals and motivation when I am being too hard on myself. I want piano to become a free-flowing outlet and stress-reliever, not another source of stress for my inner perfectionist. Glynis listens to what I need and lets her own love of music do the rest. She goes above and beyond the lesson book by adding instruction tips and tools--musical theory, demonstration, scale exercises, variations on simple pieces (e.g. jazz rhythms/beats), etc. I look forward to each lesson, and she makes me want to make time to practice between lessons so we can make the most of our time together. I am grateful to Glynis for all she has done and would highly recommend her to anyone wanting to learn piano at his/her own pace. I myself am about to sign-up for another batch of lessons, and wouldn't want them with anyone but Glynis."

"Sally has taught piano for over 15 years with her husband Tim. Tim teaches voice and has professional singing experience with San Diego Opera. There teaching style has provided a structured environment with very patient, encouraging tone so the most timid of students will want to learn. Students with learning challenges have done well with their program. Periodic recitals and music competitions are scheduled during the year to showcase each students learning accomplishments. Both Tim and Sally are loving people and would welcome anyone who desires to learn piano, guitar, violin, and voice from their experienced teachers."
