I have been playing piano for 40+ years, have a Bachelor's degree in Music Education and additional instruction in piano pedagogy. I have taught students from age 5 to 70+.

About Karen
I have experience teaching both beginning and intermediate piano and beginning voice. I enjoy working with students of all ages and helping them develop as musicians. I am patient and understanding and believe that students need to feel comfortable with a teacher to optimize the learning experience.

I studied private piano into my high school years and studied organ and voice in college where I was a vocal soloist. I attended Concordia College, Ann Arbor, Mi and received my BA in Music Education from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa

I have accompanied both Middle School and High School Choirs and instrumentalists, played organ and directed church choirs. I currently am a substitute organist. I enjoy working with students one on one. I recently moved to La Porte so took a break from teaching for a few months but a
m ready to get back to work. Sharing music is a great joy.

I especially love playing keyboard because of its expressive nature, the soft and loud, the sweetly and the contemplative. It brings me pleasure especially when a challenging piece has been mastered.

*** Lesson Details ***
I attempt to adapt lessons so each student can be successful. A variety of curriculum is used based on student's needs and the basic curriculum is supplemented with additional material to reinforce the lessons being taught. Each piano lesson begins with reviewing material from the previous lesson and then learning new pieces, including technique and theory as appropriate to the music. Practicing is an essential part of the learning process. Students are given practical ideas on how to make practicing more effective and enjoyable.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Living Room: piano, couches and chair, room for parents to wait for students in dining room or living room

*** Travel Equipment ***
Students need to provide a piano in a quiet place free of distractions.

I provide beginner level piano lessons and keyboard skills training.

About Blake
Hi, my name is Blake C. I teach guitar, singing, piano, drums, and bass online and at my Lowell, Indiana studio.

I also teach business, grammar, math (elementary, basic, pre-algebra) writing to include essay and professional business writing.

As a doctoral student at the University of New England, I am currently studying educational leadership with an emphasis on transformative leadership. In addition, I hold a Master of Science degree in Strategic Leadership from the University of Mary located in Bismarck, North Dakota and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from WGU Indiana in Indianapolis, Indiana.

I have more than 26 years of experience as an executive and senior leader in the supply chain/logistics industry. Furthermore, I have nearly six years of experience consulting in business management, quality control, con
tinuous improvement, education, and training.

During the same 26 years of my business career, I have been a professional musician - session musician and teacher. I was formally trained at the American Conservatory of Music and the Chicago Musical College, both located in Chicago. I won the Presidential Scholarship in Classical Guitar Performance at the American Conservatory of Music and another full-ride scholarship in Classical Guitar Performance to attend the Chicago Musical College.

My primary Classical Guitar Instructor at both institutions was Paul Henry. I also studied Rock Guitar with Dave Uhrich while attending both institutions and privately studied Jazz Guitar with Scott Reed. I studied voice with Audrey Evans at the American Conservatory of Music and Robert Long at the Chicago Musical College.

I have participated in Classical Guitar Master Classes with:
• Hubert Kappel
• Dale Kavanagh
• Eleftheria Kotzia
• Bruce Holzman
• Stephen Aron
• Raphaella Smits
• Richard Provost
• Nicholas Goluses
• William Buonocore.

*** Lesson Details ***

I design lessons individually according to the needs and "wants" of each student. I specialize in developing and correcting technique in technique to improve the student's overall skill. Students that dedicate the time and effort each week to practicing see rapid and sustained results.

However, if you have a busy life and merely want to learn guitar for personal enjoyment, I will design your lessons to develop your skill at a pace that works for you, which can fluctuate according to your schedule.

***Young & Special Needs Students***

I teach children as young as 13 years old and adults to the age of 70 years old. When teaching younger children and individuals with special needs, it is significantly beneficial for parents to attend each lesson - I have parent seating available. When parent(s) attend lessons, the parent can assist the younger student while practicing during the week at home.

In my experience, the overall musical development and progress of younger students improve considerably when parents are involved.

***Thoughts on Musical Talent***

Musical talent is a wonderful gift, but correct technique is not easily acquired without proper instruction. Your skill level eventually plateaus and your ability to learn and perform more complicated music is inhibited, unless you have a solid foundation in music theory as it applies to your instrument(s) as well as proper technique.

I can help you build this solid foundation and will guide you through the development of musical skills; correcting flaws in technique is my specialty.

Piano lessons are fun for all ages! Each lesson will be tailored to fit the need of the student. During lessons students can expect to learn note recognition, rhythm, scales, and a performance piece. Contact me with any questions you may have or sign up and get started!

About Sara
For 15 years, I have been studying both piano and violin extensively. It is this love of music that led me to begin formally teaching four years ago. Since then, I have had the opportunity to teach not only my own private students but also in a studio in Atlanta, GA and Buford, GA. I have had the privilege of teaching students as young as 3 to those as young-at-heart of 70. Whatever age I instruct, my lessons are formulated to fit the individual. Being able to meet my students on whatever level they need has always been a great joy.
Due to my intensive background of orchestral performances, I had the opportunity to instruct students on their orchestral pieces given to them by local orchestras and prepare them for any upcoming auditions.
As a musician, I have enjoyed the opportunities of accompanying local choirs, playing with
local and well-known orchestras, performing at weddings, and providing music at various functions.
Music has always been a passion of mine since I was a young child. My parents and instructors gave me every opportunity to cultivate that love. I am so grateful to have the same chance to do so with anyone who wants to learn. Please contact me with any questions you may have.

"Music Speaks What Cannot Be Expressed, Soothes the Mind and Gives it Rest, Heals the Heart and Makes it Whole, Flows From Heaven to the Soul" ~Unknown~

Want to know what to expect during lessons? Check out the information below.

Parents and Students should expect a fun yet educational atmosphere during their lesson time. During lessons students will learn about their instrument, note recognition, rhythm, and of course how to play a song. I ask that each student have individual practice time during the week as this is the only way to truly advance and learn the instrument. I also encourage parents to be available during the lesson and during the students individual practice session. This helps ensure that students are practicing correctly (and what they are supposed to) during the week.

As a former mentor of Sara's, I know she is a great teacher! She has been involved with music since she was 5, when she began playing piano. She added violin when she turned 7 and continued with both throughout her childhood and into her adult life.. She has wonderful orchestral experience as well as sacred/religious music. Because of her love for music, she is thrilled to be able to open young children’s eyes and minds to the joys found in music.

Anna made him play various styles of music and she corrected him well. Anna had expactations, but she was also encouraging and friendly. I recommend her warmly.

Having taught piano lessons before, my continuous goal is to teach students to learn the piano with fun and purposeful lessons. I will teach them at their speed or rate of the student; however, I will encourage the student to push harder each week to accomplish musical abilities and understanding. Lessons are given in a clean and germ free environment. I will hold recitals so that the students can learn performance skills.

About Rebekah
I love teaching! I am a music minor graduate from BYU. I grew up playing the cello, violin, and piano. I took lessons with those instruments as well as voice lessons during my college years. I also participated in the BYU Women's Chorus. I taught piano as a student piano teacher in high school, but had other jobs during college. If I calculate all the experience I have in various musical instruments, that experience would equal 45 years. During lessons, I allow my students to be "Teacher" for a day to understand their retention. They have so much fun with that! I also give out candy during the lesson and I have a point system to at which they will be rewarded with a prize. I am a proud member of the American Fork Symphony.

Experienced teacher of 20 years, specializing in the beginner/intermediate piano student and the beginner/intermediate/advanced vocal student! All ages welcome. Lessons are customized and catered to the needs/goals of each student. Not only will you be playing songs in no time, but you will be building a strong foundation of note reading, music theory, ear training, sight reading, technique. As a bonus, I specialize in songwriting. Part of my music program involves you composing and producing your own song. Send me a message and let's get started!

About Thilana
I am a professional singer, pianist, songwriter, and recording artist. I graduated from Rowan University with a Bachelors of Arts in Education and from Grand Canyon University with a Master of Arts in Education Administration. I have been teaching piano and voice lessons for over 15 years in my own music business servicing the South Jersey area.

Voice students can expect to improve week to week in their vocal technique. Every voice has a unique timbre; I teach students how to apply basic, effective techniques in order to unlock their own individual sound. I can help any student to sing with freedom, confidence, and expression.

I teach piano students of all different ages and experience levels. I studied classical piano, gospel piano and contemporary keyboard. I can teach students to read music and pursue musical excellence, to learn how
to play contemporary music using chord sheets, or both depending on the goals and preference of the student.

As a professional recording artist, I have released my own project, Psalms 37:25 in April of 2016. I have written songs for gospel independent artists, choirs, and worship teams. I love to mentor students who want to become effective, dynamic songwriters.

My personal passion is to develop the whole musician towards their personal development, sound, and style. I strongly believe that a strong foundation in theory and technique is essential to any and every style. I look forward to meeting you and helping you to become a better musician!
