I have five years of teaching music to ages ranging from five to fifty and over twenty years being a musician. My teaching method is specialized to meet the demand and attention needed to provide each individual student with the necessary tools to master their craft. With my lessons, students will learn sight reading, ear training, essential elements of music theory and other handy tools that equip the student for greatness.

Experienced piano teacher who specializes in working with kids of all ages! We will learn how to navigate the keyboard, read sheet music, and play chords. I also specialize in helping singers learn piano to accompany themselves.

By using well-thought scaffolding methods, based on research and experience, my students are given the opportunity to advance further in less time their piano study inclusive of performance and technical skills. As a music teacher for over 10 years, each students' zone of proximal development is facilitated based on their individual interests and strengths in a nurturing and safe environment.

Expect to build a stronger relationship and understanding with music. I am not going to look for perfection. The most important thing is to connect with the music you're playing. Within a few lessons you will see confidence with your instrument grow. The first lesson, we will talk about the goals you are trying to achieve. We'll explore music theory, sight reading, creating original songs, playing by ear, and if you want, we can dive into the modern music industry. How is music made today?

I also teach beginning piano for children and adults, either seperately, or in tandem with voice lessons. If you are looking to advance your musicality while studying voice, or to introduce your child to both beginning piano and voice, I highly recommend this approach. I customize lessons to accommodate the age and ability of the student, and teach the basics of piano technique, reading music and other aspects of beginning music theory.
