First time playing piano? Resuming after years (decades?) of not playing the piano? No matter your age or experience, you can always learn and improve!

Pop songs, jazz ballads, classical pieces, or movie/game themes, there must be something you are interested in playing and get better!

About Bill

I have always been a self-studier in my entire life. Being able to learn with just books and your brain is a crucial skill to have! However, I know not everyone (and sometimes even myself) have the discipline and motivation to keep going during hard times. This is where a tutor would come in handy.

You can play what you can hear. I work on developing the student's mental concept of how a particular piece of music sounds. This solid musical thinking translates into a reliable technique. Technique should come naturally and not be overly thought, but I will explain what seems to work for me and analyze the student's playing.

Beginning students might start with a method such as the well-known 'Piano Adventures'. Lessons should include some study of theory or harmony. More advanced students will work on progressively more demanding literature.

My adult students say I am insightful.

About Graham

I am a musician with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance. I studied with Philip Thomson, Laura Silverman, Douglas Hicks, and Eugene Mancini. I have experience teaching young children, older adults, and those in between. I am patient and encouraging. Presently, I am available to teach online

Laying a good foundation of reading and technique is important regardless of the style you wish to play so that you can continue to teach yourself and grow as you take lessons. I also incorporate music theory into lessons so that students really understand and apply concepts that they are playing. I love diversity, so my students are encouraged to play classical, jazz, and contemporary music! Playing is fun and becomes more fun as you progress and start to make discoveries not only in, but out of the classroom. I encourage transcription and arranging/reharm as well! Looking forward to making music with you!

Taylor is absolutely incredible. I've been taking voice lessons from her since I was a freshman in high school, and she has never failed to amaze me, Her passion and dedication to the arts and to her students know no boundaries. She pushes each of her students to grow and develop their talent with precision. She is an incredibly talented vocalist with a background in many genres. I have had such an amazing time being taught by her.

Taylor's the best! She is kind, patient, and very thorough. I've been taking music lessons with Taylor for about 2 years and she has really helped shape my musicality and develop musicianship skills. She has helped me with piano, voice, and music theory and always makes sure I am comfortable and understand the content. She teaches in a way that is enjoyable and easy to understand. Never a dull moment!

"Ms. Diane is the most amazing instructor. She has been successfully teaching my daughter both violin and piano online for two years now. Ms. Diane is knowledgeable, reliable, flexible and one of the kindest music instructors our family has had the good fortune and pleasure to learn from. We are also lucky to only live about 40 minutes away, so we also get to see Ms. Diane for an in home lesson on occasion. Our daughter looks forward to her weekly lesson with Ms. Diane and plans to continue learning from Ms. Diane for many years to come. If you are looking for a music instructor with such qualities, Ms. Diane is truly worth your time and consideration for both online and in home instruction. If I could give her more than 5 stars I certainly would. Thank you Ms. Diane for everything!!"

"Allison taught my daughter for 4 years. We found her to be patient and nurturing, and she was able to keep my daughter motivated, which is not always easy, since my daughter quickly becomes frustrated when things don't come to her right away. Allison is great with kids and has a knack for keeping lessons fun, even while she's challenging students to be their best. The recitals were a real highlight for us. They gave our daughter a real goal to work for, and as we got to know the other families over the years, it was fun to watch their kids improving too."

"My son and I have been taking piano lessons from Corinne for almost a year. She is a lovely person, extremely patient and dedicated to teaching. She genuinely cares about her students. Corinne is quite gifted working with young children as well as adults. I took piano lessons as a child, and she immediately assessed where to resume instruction. She took a totally different approach with my six year old son, who had no experience. Even though he had just started to read and write in school, she used a very understandable, age- appropriate method with him. He is now playing the piano while reading basic music at the same time. She knows exactly how much and how hard to gently push, in order to encourage improvement each week. Corinne is also very professional, dependable, punctual and takes the time you spend with her seriously. I highly recommend Corinne as a piano teacher. We enjoy our lessons immensely."
