In my 8+ years of lessons with Paul, he was always patient and committed to helping me learn how to play piano. I learned a variety of different pieces and skills, and his methods for practicing have stuck with me to this day.
Dennis
Pavel was a great piano teacher and guided me through my learning journey. I took lessons with him for over 8 years and can now sight read, play from memory, and create new tunes on my own. I focused mainly on classical compositions, but Pavel was always willing to help me learn modern songs. He is a very kind person who emphasizes discipline when it comes to practice.

We had a great lesson. As the first lesson, Marissa took time to get to know my daughter and understand her background. She kept the lesson well paced. My daughter thought Mrs. V was both nice, and funny as they worked through the lesson.

Marissa is a wonderful instructor. She listens to her students and works with them to find material that is fun and engaging but also challenging. She provides constructive criticism when needed, and always quick to praise a job well done.

I have been playing piano since the age of six. Originally classically trained, I made a change to learning Jazz after hearing it on the radio one night while still in high school.

I began my teaching career in 2007, providing private piano instruction to beginners at a small, privately owned music school in Laurel, Maryland.

After the school closed it's doors in the Fall of 2011, I continued working with many of the students privately. It is these efforts I continue to this day.

Having the opportunity to work 1 on 1 with students and see their progression and development on a week to week basis is a truly, rewarding experience that I feel fortunate to be a part of.

*** Lesson Details ***
Although the approach you take with each student will be different, basic standard requirements will consist of:

1) Being able to locate notes on the piano in relation to middle C

2) Being able to recognize notes on the staffs and play them in the correct locations on the ...

Ian is a wonderful piano instructor. My 6 year old has been with Ian for some time now and I must say his patience is exceptional. He teaches in ways that my son can easily remember and makes the lesson fun. My son always looks forward to his piano lessons and he has learnt a lot in 2 months. I have had some experience with piano instructors but Ian is exceptional. I highly recommend him as an instructor to other children

Five reasons why my lessons can be a unique experience, if, and only if:
1- You are looking for a professionally trained performing artist and instructor (with more than 25 years of experience teaching ranging from beginner toddlers at home to advanced musicians in academic studio setting) who is fun to work with.
2- You look for an individualized approach tailored to your musical needs (Piano Technique, sight-singing, Score reading, Theory, Aural skills).
3- You or your child are busy and want to make the best of your time learning or practicing and therefore need a well-disciplined teacher who can match your schedule; I have a strong Time Management & Follow up System for the lessons. (My philosophy specially for beginners : If it is not measurable , it is not done the right way. )
4- You actively and carefully read the details (of education and teaching experience) of instructors profile and ask for reviews because you care enough for your time and money to know the ...

Ardlan is extremely accomplished and is truly the best piana teacher I've experienced. He explains techniques and the reasons for them so well!

I cannot express strongly enough how lucky we feel to have had Ard as our children’s piano instructor. We have two children, 9 and 11, and they had both been taking piano lessons for years before we moved to the Indianapolis area. While we really enjoyed the children's first teacher, Ard truly taught on another level. He is an absolute professional - reliable, accomplished, experienced.. Within the first few weeks, Ard was able to accurately identify my children's strengths and weaknesses and design individualized learning programs for both of them and they both improved greatly with his help.

Ard is just wonderful with the children. He was able to teach them at their level with an enthusiasm, kindness, and insightfulness that engaged them immediately. And, although Ard has a playful side with the children, he was also very serious about learning music, and there were very clear expectations for the children. The lessons were a perfect blend of fun and learning.

Ard is not only an incredibly talented musician, but also a passionate, energetic, and wonderfully interesting person. If we ever move back to the area, we would call on Ard again in a heartbeat.

I'm into my second month of weekly guitar lessons with Brett and can't believe how well I am playing already!! I've had some basic guitar lessons in the past but still very much a beginner. Brett knew precisely where to start and what I needed next to advance my playing, and broke it down into attainable steps. So far I've learned a good handful of strum patterns; I can finally play two songs pretty well and sing along; and I am in the rudimentary stage of learning to finger pick. Really love the fact that beautiful sounds are coming from my instrument! Highly recommend if you're ready to make the commitment to becoming a capable player.
Charlie E.
What a terrible experience. I signed up for lessons for my wife from Brett as a gift because he listed times that would work for my wife given that we have a young daughter, and have a hard time making time for lessons. Brett told us 3 days before the lesson that the time wouldn't work, then simply never showed for the rescheduled first lesson. Worse, he simply refused to do scheduling via email (he would leave voicemails and failed to return my wife's call when she called back as they were playing phone tag), and then told us he had another commitment during the slot we had supposedly reserved for him. Worse, he failed to update the site as he continually cancelled lessons and never showed up for scheduled times. I now have a huge hassle of getting a refund on the money I paid for lessons as opposed to a lovely gift for my wife. Life's too short and we're too busy for such an awful experience.

Great teacher for my young daughter

Brett has been a great teacher for my 5 year old daughter. She is just learning the basics of piano and Brett has been great at expanding her skill sets. She really enjoys practicing with him and actually looks forward to when he comes over every week!

He's a fantastic teacher, he's patient (especially with my restless 7 year old), encouraging and motivating (they love to practice!). We love his teaching style and how he incorporates history and information on various composers and his students, his passion for really shows. We are absolutely thrilled with Jesus."

"I studied with Bennie for several years with the goal of improving my improvisational skills and hand independence. I improved in both areas significantly and am much stronger player. Bennie can push you to a very high level and he stays very engaged between lessons for questions, feedback and additional support. He even attended my performance shows and offered feedback. My only regret is that my day job obligations, available practice time and personal learning speed did not allow a greater lesson frequency."

"I was hesitant to start piano lessons but David has been amazing. He's an extremely friendly and patient teacher but the thing that has me rank him so highly is the fact that he always celebrated my successes and never berated for not getting as far as we hoped. For me that was important in an instructor. Also he is totally fine with me bringing in music to learn even if it isn't always the best stuff to learn from.
In short David is the kind of teacher that makes each lesson enjoyable and really helps you learn what's important to you. He has 35 years of experience so you can throw just about anything at him and he'll know what you're talking about. I can't recommend him enough if you are looking for a piano teacher in person."

"Ashot is extremely talented, unique , having his own style musician and teacher.
We have tried several piano teachers but Ashot has found a way to inspire our son and teach him in a manner that makes him want to learn more. It's an absolute pleasure to see how your child grows from lesson to lesson.
Ashot is so patient , yet firm with his students. He is also a great psychologist and knows how to inspire each student.
I really recommend Ashot to all my friends who are interested in piano classes.
Also it's a pure pleasure to see our 8 year old son experiencing excitement every time during and after the classes.
He is everything I could have asked for as a Teacher for our son and just a great person."
