I consider teaching people to be a way of common development of human creativity, raising a student's cultural level up, instilling interest in music and arts, an explanation of the significance of music.
I see music lessons as an increasing general intellectual and spiritual level.

He just left our house, like any other Saturday afternoon for three years now, and every time he leaves, I have the same feeling of putting my son’s musical knowledge in the best hands (ever).
Our son passed this year the Certificate of Merit in Piano with a perfect score, and we thank 100% Mr. Shapovalov for such success.
Mr. Shapovalov is a great pianist, educated, polite, and kind. Our son loves him like he was family, and his performance just gets better and better. It is unbelievable how much he improved working with Mr. Shapovalov.
Mr. Shapovalov organizes recitals, workshops, and pre-tests in order to prepare his students for the Certificate of Merit test. He takes proud in his students’ success and works with our son using multiple approaches, all of them orientated to make the lesson fun and useful, totally aligned with the Certificate of Merit test expectations.
I feel bad it took so long to write a review about this fabulous teacher. I guess I didn’t want to share our “treasure” with anybody else! But seriously: if you are looking for a committed, professional musician, and stellar teacher, all in one person… contact Mr. Shapovalov. Enjoy.

As a music instructor, I am eager to cater to the needs of each individual child and to provide them with engaging musical experiences in supportive environments. I have previously provided violin, viola, and piano lessons to students of all ages both through Thompson Tutoring in Portage, Michigan and Reverb Lessons in Chicago, Illinois. I have approximately six years of private teaching experience.
I typically provide beginning piano lessons to young students, and frequently utilize the Faber Piano Adventures method books. I learned piano at a young age myself before revisiting the instrument for two years during my undergraduate studies.
I recently graduated from Roosevelt University's Chicago College of Performing Arts with a Master of Music Degree in Viola Performance. In 2016, I graduated from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Music Degree in Viola Performance and Spanish. My performance experience includes both local and international venues. I have performed

Want to play your favorite songs? Want to write your own? While focusing on technique and theory primarily, we will also spend at least a part of each lesson being creative, whether we're improvising, or writing together, or just playing a game, because I believe that being a well-rounded musician means knowing how to communicate your own ideas fluently. I'm also trained in the Taubman Method, so you'll receive training in how to play the piano with confidence and ease without the risk of injuring yourself later on. I welcome students interested in classical, rock, jazz, or all of the above! Shoot me a message today and let's set something up.
About Kyle
I am a professional violinist, violist, guitarist, pianist, composer, and educator. In addition to recording and touring with my own bands, I regularly arrange and record strings for artists and producers in a wide range of styles, from underground rappers to indie rock bands to grammy winning pop

Music college graduate, with plenty of experience in real-world musical settings and five years of teaching experience. When it comes to teaching I have plenty of patience and no judgment! I like to think of learning piano like hiking an unpaved trail to a destination. At times the trail can become difficult and you might be tempted to give up on the destination. But as you gain momentum and your destination gets closer and closer, one realizes their past troubles were worth their current gains.
My goal is to help you define realistic goals and then, how to obtain them. If you are unsure of what your goals are, that's okay too. We can cover the basics and in time, find out what your musical interests are. However, I expect my students to work towards improving their skills by practicing a little each day, or as I like to say students need to be hitting the woodshed.
My lessons are tailored toward each student's goals but I always include certain topics. The core of my ...
