My lesson plans are designed to be musical and fun. I want my students to understand the language of the music by studying their favorite bands, reading music, and understanding the theory behind it. I have a strategy for everyone starting from beginner, intermediate, to advanced. I remember playing s piano for the first time and what a struggle it was to play my favorite songs. There is a method for achieving these goals and it is different for everyone. The one thing that will allow you to succeed is having a desire to learn and a passion for music. If you have those two things then I can direct you to the right path to achieve your musical goals!

I have a unique, extensive background in teaching the art of playing the piano in a private studio, preparatory school and university level settings. I teach all levels from beginner to advanced for ages five through adult.
I have a strong program in note reading and rhythm skills, as well as exploring all dynamic levels on the keyboard using interesting and fun repertoire.
More advanced students learn to use their theory skills to analyze their music to gain a better understanding of the composer's intent.
They also learn finesse as well as nuances in piano technique to apply to their pieces of music.
I've taught for over five decades so I have tons of knowledge and experience!

I love teaching students how to play the piano. I enjoy helping them achieve their specific goals. I am all about increasing my students' musicality to the fullest potential. I can help them learn the skill of sight-reading (Imagine knowing how to immediately play a piece of music that you have never seen before!) I can also teach them how to play by ear/improvise
(Wouldn't it be nice to be able to successfully play a song from your brain on your first try?) I'd love to teach you how to play.
