I learn pieces of music that I enjoy, and she provides suggestions and feedback to help me improve my technique, articulation, and rhythm. I think that I have made a lot of progress as a classical pianist through her instruction. Ms. Charlene has been my piano teacher for ten years. She is very patient and dedicated. I was shy but gained confidence as I expanded my piano repertoire. I participated yearly in the CM piano evaluations organized by the Music Teachers' Association of California (MTAC) and was selected almost every year to perform at the Branch Honors Recitals. Since completing the Advanced level CM and moving to college, I have stopped taking piano lessons from Ms. Charlene. However, I still play the piano whenever I have the time.
