Piano technic, reading music, and learning to express your self on the piano....all of this will be taught in a fun but challenging way

About Ronda
My love of music started at the young age of 6 with piano lessons. My parents always said, "piano lessons were the best investment they ever made." Because of their investment it took me through my growing up years playing piano and singing at church and school then into college with a music major. I also auditioned and made the specialty touring "Vanguard Choral Group" and had the experience of producing a record back in the day. Taking what I had learned is now a joy to share with you.

As a private teacher, I can promise you an enjoyable and very rewarding experience - smiles and laughter are guaranteed! My number one goal for each of my students is to foster confidence in one's self and one's abilities and to grow one's skills with the passion in music.

For more than 30 years I have taught private piano and vocal lessons. I also
have taught K-12th Music classes in Private Schools and directed children and adult choirs in churches. My joy in life is sharing my love for music with you!

*** Lesson Details ***
Our lessons will be filled with fun, yet challenging. I am patient and very encouraging with every student. I understand that every student learns in a way that's unique to them and I will do my best to discover your best learning method.

I believe it is important for you to have a strong foundation of learning to read notes and understanding the basics of music whether for piano or vocally. Each lesson will conclude with an assignment of songs given to work on throughout the week. These will be the same songs worked on during the lesson time, so you will go home with the knowledge to master each song. Music theory and technique exercises will also be included in the assignments.

Daily practice is strongly urged and will be rewarded. The amount of practice time varies by age and level of skill.

Within the first 3 - 6 months you will understand the basics and start feeling confident in becoming the pianist or vocalist you desire. Everyone learns at their own pace but with your desire and a little hard work and me as your guide and cheerleader you will succeed!

I use the Bastien and Alfred method books. I will also introduce Christmas, Pop, Jazz, Christian, Classical and Broadway Hits for variety as time goes on.

Looking forward to meeting you!

*** Studio Equipment ***
Digital Piano

*** Travel Equipment ***
I will purchase books but expect reimbursement for them on your first lesson. Cost is usually $10.00 to $22.00 depending on which music books I feel will work best for your age and ability.

*** Specialties ***
Creativity in both piano and vocal training
Enjoy all aspects of the arts including set design and costuming

As stated in my singing blurb, I started taking lessons when I was seven years of age, my mother being my first piano teacher. From that early age, I fell in love the instrument and know that I can help anyone who loves the piano, better understand and master the instrument.

About Lyle
I am a professional singer, pianist, and teacher of the two. I have a Bachelor of Music degree from California State University Long Beach, and a Master of Music degree from University of California Los Angeles. During my study of those two degrees, I had marvelous teaching from some of the finest pianists, coaches, and voice teachers around. I can teach you how to sing with true passion, ease, and intent.

I began my study of the piano at the age of 7, my mother being my first teacher. I started on Alfred Piano Books, and still strongly believe in that same curriculum. From there I began to study classical composers like Chopin, Beethoven, Clementi, and Mozart. Although my love of classical music runs deep to my core, I love jazz, pop, and gospel music. I am happy to assist the learning of any style, anything that YOU are passionate for
. :)

With me, you can expect to make weekly progress in your instrument of choice. I am a dedicated performer and an even more dedicated teacher. To me, the two go hand in hand.

Please allow me the opportunity in teaching you and in turn I will give you all the knowledge I possess.

Lyle has a singing voice that will stun and amaze you when he sings in front of you. That will immediately put you at ease and motivate you to sing better using his techniques. His classical training has proven to be a great foundation for teaching me effective ways to understand, use and improve my voice. After 2 lessons I can already see a big difference in my singing abilities and I always learn many new things at each lesson. Lyle has a really open, friendly and non judgemental demeanor and this helped a lot with my nervousness. I can't wait for my next private lesson and would encourage anyone to book him for Broadway, classical and pop singing lessons.

Lessons will include learning technic, theory, and learning songs to perform.

About Kara
I'm a college student who is pursuing a career in Elementary Education. As a piano teacher I get on the student's level and teach to their unique style of learning.

I've been playing the piano for 15 years, in which the first 9 years I've taken piano lessons. During those years of lessons, I've performed in many of the National Federation of Music Club's Junior Festivals. I was awarded 4 gold cups total for solo and duet piano
performances, based off of receiving superior ratings from judges. I understand the hard work that goes into playing a beautiful instrument such as the piano.

For over 1 year I've been formally teaching piano lessons. Although I'm just learning to teach, I'm very professional with each piano student. I teach students theory, technique, and performance. I teach fun and engaging lessons to keep those childr
en interested in learning. I also like to incorporate practice charts with stickers for positive reinforcement.

I believe that the student's daily practice along with my formal teaching will best help students progress into an amazing musician. If you're wanting your child to learn to play the piano, this will be a great place to start!

Kara was a joy for my kids to learn from. They excelled a ton in just the short time that we were lucky to have her here in town. She really helped them to learn the songs, and the different aspects of playing the piano rather than just rushing through. They looked forward to lessons. She has a great way with children, and it brings joy to me to hear mine playing the piano and the improvement they've made.

Over the past two decades I toured extensively as soloist throughout Europe, America and Asia, performing in such prestigious venues as Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, Warsaw Philharmonic Hall, and Lutosławski Concert Hall at the Polish Radio, Vilnius Philh

I have given recitals and performed as a soloist with symphony orchestras at numerous music festivals, including the Polish Piano Festival in Słupsk, the International Chopin Festival in Nohant (France), the Harbin Summer Music Festival (China), Martisor 2003 Music Festival in Chisinau (Moldova), the Music Festival in Bad Gandersheim (Germany), Ionio Festival Paolo Carrer (Greece), the Bebersee Festival (Germany) and at Cultural Days Festival in Frankfurt am Main.

In 2013 EMI Classics released my first solo album „Tadeusz - piano”, which includes works by Scarlatti, Schumann, Liszt, Prokofiev and virtuoso transcriptions by Vladimir Horowitz. The album received excellent reviews from critics: „Whoever likes great piano music and virtuosity will not be disappointed after listening to Tadeusz. A splendid debut!” (Stanislaw Dybowski), „His future career of a virtuoso is certain, the instrument sounds beautiful in his hands, in a rounded tone, the lightness and proficiency of difficult parts inspires jealousy, not only recognition.” (Kacper Miklaszewski).

My discography includes solo album „Tadeusz - piano” recorded for EMI classisc, „Harmony of he Struggle” which includes a world premiere recording of Piano Concerto by Marcin Błażewicz, who dedicated the work to Tadeusz and his recent album „Eugeniusz Morawski Songs” with complete songs by Eugeniusz Morawski, recorded with mezzosoprano Agnieszka Rehlis. I believe in teaching fundamental skills (posture, hand position, music theory, rhythm, scales) as well as doing some music that the students’ want to play and will enjoy. Playing music should be fun, and I am very patient when it comes to seeing each student grow and advance in their craft!

Learning to read music is the foundation to help students explore playing other styles of music they enjoy. I was classically trained from a young age and had no idea that it would help become the musician I am. I not only play classically but can pick up several styles of music by ear because of theory and ear training.

Maybe you are someone who can play by ear, but would like to learn how to read music and understand the theory behind what you play? Music theory is very important, and I love seeing the lights bulbs come on when students see how the songs they know play are really put together!

Music gave me a way to express myself in a way that no other activity could. And I hope to help my ...

About Brittany
I began taking piano when I was 7 years old. My older sister was taking lessons and I wanted to be like her. One day, my mom heard some music in the background, and my older sister went grab my mom to show her it was me playing with no sheet music in front of me. I was just copying what I had heard my sister play. That is where my musical journey began. None of my immediate family plays any instruments or sings professionally. My mom decided to put me in lessons, and I have been playing ever since.

I had such a wonderful teacher and she believed I could play anything she placed in front of me. Later at the age of 12, I started playing at church and playing for people who sang solos in church. It was my piano teacher and high school choir teacher who believed I could do music in college. I auditioned and was awarded scholarship money.
I never imagined over 10 years later that I would still be teaching music.

I am such a fun, patient person when I am with my student whether in the classroom or teaching privately. Music absolutely changed my life and gave me a positive way to express myself!! I’m so glad my parents thought enough to get me started with lessons!

I have been teaching in the public schools since 2012 and privately since 2013. I took a break from teaching privately to focus on teaching high school. As I begin teaching privately again, I look forward to helping students discover their full potential. Let’s get to work!
