Whether you want to learn the basics so you can play your favorite songs or you are serious to become the next "Lang Lang", you've found the right teacher to help you achieve that goal. I'm specialized in my unique integrated Suzuki method so that you will develop both strong ears and fingers. Any levels and ages are welcome!

About Celine
I hold a MA in Piano Performance from Azusa Pacific University. I have been teaching piano for all ages and all levels since 2002. About Jessie
Thank you for your interest in lessons! I hope to help you achieve your goals and improve your skills, whether you're looking for music lessons, help in math, or need someone to proofread your essay before you turn it in. Every student is a unique person who deserves a lesson customized to their individual needs. Each of my students prospers in an atmosphere of patience and encouragement. While the lessons are fun and enjoyable, the serious student will be supported in the development of skills leading to a rewarding career, and the more casual students will grow in an appreciation of knowledge that will always enrich their lives.

I have been tutoring and teaching private lessons for over five years, and currently have over 40 active students. I received my bachelor's degree in music with an emphasis on vocal performance at the Unive
rsity of Redlands in 2011, and my Associate of Arts degree in 2008 from College of the Desert. I teach online, locally, and at my studio, and cover a variety of subjects such as voice, music, theater, piano, math, english, music theory, just to name a few.

For academic tutoring (i.e. math, theory, vocabulary) I work on helping the student understand their homework and help prepare them for tests. I can also provide worksheets if necessary and am prepared to demonstrate problem areas in different ways if needed, because everyone learns differently. For voice, piano, music, and acting lessons I teach the student based on what their current level is. If you have no experience, that's okay! My lessons are uniquely designed to fit your needs no matter what level you may be.

As a music major I developed a deeper understanding of music theory, piano, voice, and theater. I received my A.A. in Music at College of the Desert and my Bachelor of Music degree at the University of Redlands- which I attended on a music scholarship. I have played leading roles in several operas and musicals in Southern California, including Gianni Schicchi, Die Fledermaus, La Boheme (DTL nominee), The Impresario, The Grand Duke, Patience (DTL award), Cosi fan tutte, Little Women, Seussical, and many more. I have also appeared in several concerts, opera scenes, competitions (winning music scholarships and theater awards), and worked as a singer in churches, restaurants, and in pop bands. I continue to stay active in the performance industry, because performing is a part of who I am and I could never live without it!

With this experience under my belt, I feel a desire to pass on my knowledge to students. I carry a strong passion to help people develop their abilities and make them their own. I truly believe that if someone wants something out of life they will achieve it with dedication, perseverance, confidence, and by having fun doing it!

*Note: My home office has a lot of stairs and two cats. If you are disabled or have a feline allergy, please consider in-home lessons or lessons online.

Ever meet someone who took years of piano lessons but never plays? Those are not my students! I make piano easy and fun to learn. Learn the songs you know and love and throw away those boring method books! Piano can be one of the easiest instruments to learn when approached the right way

About Ken
I've been playing music my whole life, but it was as a high school student when I was asked to teach the school's guitar class that I became a teacher. Since that time I've gone on to earn several awards, played in many different types of projects, and earned a Master's degree. You might have heard my music before too if you've ever listened to a podcast, TV commercials, Indy films, or played any video games. My most successful student thus far however, would have to be Jacob Tilley from the rock band Young the Giant.

Not everybody wants to be a rock star though, and there are many aspects to the world of music. During the course of my musical adventure I've played with orchestras, been in rock, bluegrass, reggae, pop and blues bands, classical ensembles and more. I have also had the opportunity to play for celebrities and diploma
ts. Basically I've done a little of everything and I believe that it is this diversity of experiences that makes me a better teacher. Having worked in so many settings gives me a broad understanding that I use to help you reach whatever goals you might have.

I have also become adept at writing, recording and producing music, studying under Frank Wright of the legendary rock band Chicago. If you have an interest in creating and/or recording music I can definitely help you get there! Check out my chill/downtempo instrumental album 'Night Music'.

*** Lesson Details ***
I can teach you about playing several different instruments, how to write, how to record your own music, and how to get your music career off the ground! As a youth, I was largely self-taught so my inspiration was always to have fun. I never had to deal with the 'homework' style of practicing so I've naturally incorporated that approach to my lessons. My goal is to keep you (the student) inspired and having fun. When that happens you will become good at your instrument and feel as though you 'played' your way to success! As your teacher I will also provide almost all of the materials for free and show you great free apps to help you along with your learning and keep costs to a minimum! I know we will have fun together while you learn and I look forward to meeting you!

*** Studio Equipment ***
Guitars, piano/keyboard, drums, bass, banjo, mandolin, ukulele and a ProTools recording studio.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I provide the learning materials but I expect the student to have their own instrument, be that a guitar, drum set, etc.

*** Specialties ***
Commercial music is definitely my specialty, but I am also capable of doing various styles such as classical, bluegrass, traditional/folk. Just focus on what you want to learn and I can teach it to you.

I have been teaching piano for over 25 years. Each student is unique; so I customize the lessons and repertoire to suit each student, utilizing method books and/or different styles of music depending on the student's interest. I always include music theory, note comprehension, rhythm and practice tips!

About Amber
I am an experienced, enthusiastic music instructor, who started playing piano around 8 years of age and participated in many musical activities. I received my Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Massachusetts, majoring in Music Education (voice and piano). I have appeared around the world as a soloist singing jazz and pop, including the Blue Note, NYC, and appeared as a guest soloist at the 2000 Southern California Summer Special Olympics. I also participated in ensemble groups such as the Masterworks Chorale in NYC, and the Verdi Opera Chorus of Southern California; and currently I volunteer at the Senior Center leading/accompanying the Sing-Alongs.

Inspired by my love of music, I have been teaching piano and voice for over 25 years from NY to LA and now Orange County. In conjunction with my teaching skills, I have
excellent communication skills, patience and enthusiasm, and work well with children and all ages. I feel that music is an important part of education, and it aids in the development of cognitive and motor skills. And most of all, it is fun and rewarding, and a skill to last a lifetime!

I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Amber and working with her today. I was immediately put at ease - Amber made me feel welcome, accepted and was incredibly helpful to me today, as I am auditioning on Sunday to sing as a soloist at my church! I have great exercises to strengthen my diaphragm, and she gave really good instruction regarding how to get the correct sound for each voice range. I am looking forward to meeting with her again, and continuing my studies under Amber.

Amber met me at her door with a smile on her face although I was much too early due to my over active excitement at arriving for my first lesson. Her first words to me were, "I'm so proud of you." That was a complement connected to my age of 83. I could have hugged her. Our lesson consisted of warming up my vocal cords after a long period of not singing. It was noted because of my hearing loss, that I was having trouble pitch wise and this would be something for me to work on besides my breathing. Amber's lesson was exactly what I needed and I can't wait for my next lesson.

Hi there! I have been playing piano since I was 4 years old, and my grandfather and mother were both piano teachers. Lets say, it runs in the family! I also got their gardening green thumbs, but you aren't interested in vegetables, you want to learn how to play piano and make music! Well I can definitely help you with that. We'll find the right books and do it right, so playing is fun and practicing not a total drag. I'd like to get you or your child learning some basic technique and music theory, but as soon as possible start playing fun songs that will inspire the musician within.
Send me a message, I'm happy to start figuring out the next steps in this musical journey with you!

About Laura
Hey Ya'll!
I'm Laura, and I grew up in a log cabin in Kentucky, no joke! My three sisters and I sang in the church where my Mama played organ, and our family had a bluegrass band. I learned piano at an early age from my Grandpa Joe, and played French Horn and Mellophone in Marching Band and Concert band through Middle school and High School. At the University of Kentucky I was in some of the best Collegiate choirs in the country, and thats also when I started playing in my own band.
I moved to Europe when I was 20, and started playing street music and performing locally. Well, that turned into me having my own variety show called the Southern Flavor Show, and touring quite a bit, all over Europe.
Now, I'm settled in Redlands CA, and work part-time in the Music Industry in Los Angeles at one of the worlds leading recording studios.
We record all kinds of music there, but my favorite music is and will always be the Bluegrass, Folk, and Country music that I grew up with. I'm excited about getting to share my love of music with you!
My main goal is for you to stay inspired and for this to be fun- music technique and practicing can be challenging, but we will find ways to keep you interested and motivated, by listening to lots of recorded music, and making sure you really love the songs you are learning. This kind of music is made for playing together, so if you would like I can get you up to speed on how to play with others- in a jam or performance setting.
