I would assess the student's capability and begin with the level appropriate for the student. For new students with no experience, I would start out with simple hand positioning and playing the piano firsthand. We'll learn as we go with fine details of reading notation and techniques. I will introduce one or two subject to cover for each lesson. For students that have more experience and are at the beginner level, I will introduce technical practices and assign a piece of music. As for intermediate and advance, we will cover technical practice, assigned music, and music theory.

About Fang

Hello, my name is Fang. I studied piano as my major for Undergraduate studies and have since finished my studies as of June, 2018. I am looking forward to teaching beginners or intermediate in classical training. I want to teach an all-around encompassing a strong foundation for the piano. This inc

Celine is probably the most patient teacher I know. As an adult learner, I look forward to my lessons and appreciate the ongoing encouragement from Celine. It's obvious that she is not only extrememly knowledgeable but also very passionate about teaching. I highly recommend taking lessons with Celine!

I LOVE taking piano lessons with Celine! She’s a great teacher and a very kind and sweet person. She is by far the most knowledgeable piano teacher I’ve had. Celine’s teaching style is very flexible—she’s great for a serious player because she’s very thorough and also for a beginner because she’s so kind and patient. I’ve played the piano for many years and Celine has really helped me improve. She’s taught me how to practice effectively at home and helps me notice details in the music I wasn’t taught before. Celine is clearly very passionate about what she does. I always enjoy my lessons and I highly recommend taking lessons with her!

My daughter started her lesson with music school group class, while it is fun and fundamental, it starts to get harder as the year pass.
She need more one to one attention with experience teacher who could help her with the details that the group class cannot provide. We are so grateful to have Ms. Celine. She is so patience. Her teaching supported my daughter skill that lack from group class and my daughter is happy to learn piano which in turn make her do more practice and improve her skill. I am very satisfied.

I am a beginner guitar player inspiring to become the next Eddie Hazel (Of Funkadelic fame for you unenlightened ones). I was referred to Jeremy by a former music teacher at Anne Arundel Community College. I was able to set up a weekly time with him at his house. He has a very clean and professional setting. I have been taking lessons under Jeremy's tutelage for a few months now. I have to say I am surprised at my own progress. My technical skills are blossoming but it's the music theory that is the real gift that Jeremy has given me. I always shrugged theory off thinking if I can hear it, I can play it. But now I am beginning to see the doors that music theory can open. Music is a vast universe and I have to give him credit for opening my ears, eyes, and mind to the possibilities of soooouuunds.

I wish there were more stars to give to Natasha! She is sweet, kind and a brilliant instructor! She has taken her years of performing and training to compile a unique and highly effective way to teach voice. She is extremely dedicated to your success! I had a fear of singing and she has helped me over come that fear and I am looking forward to the 1st of many musical auditions. I look forward to many more lessons with her!!! She is the best!
Kristen
This was our daughter’s first class with Natasha. She had had only a few months of formal lessons before meeting with Natasha. I was impressed with how Natasha started by grounding her in the basics of good stance and breathing, not rushing into a lesson but making sure she understood the principles. Natasha has a friendly, engaging personality that immediately puts you at ease. Looking forward to seeing where this path takes my kiddo!

"Howard really helped me with learning the piano. I'm a singer who wanted to learn enough piano to write songs and eventually accompany myself. Howard is gifted at discerning your learning style, strengths & weaknesses and he tailors his teaching to your needs. During my lessons with him I learned so much. Not just about the piano and composition, but I learned a lot about myself and how to recognize my obstacles and how to practically tackle and overcome them."

"We are so delighted with our experience with Remi. Our son began lessons when he was a fresh 6 year old. Remi had so much patience and ability to keep him focused on the keys. The progress over the last 18 months has been remarkable. My son is much more confident and no longer prone to dwell on small missteps, He plays right through them and then works to correct them. This is all due to His wonderful teacher. As an aside, it's awesome when my son really plays well and Remi picks up his guitar and accompanies the piano like a real "jam session""

How to Tell if Your Old Piano is Worth Restoring

Are you curious about how to restore a piano that's been sitting in your basement or storage unit unused? Was an old piano passed down to you, and you're not quite sure how to make it playable? Here, Katy, TX music teacher Zachary A. shares his advice...   A piano is not only a part of the art of music, it is also a work of art itself. The machine is extremely complex and has thousands of moving parts. The piano is also one of the few instruments out there that has stood the test of time …
