With piano lessons, you can expect a well-paced relaxed environment yet, with a high expectation of professionalism. I would go at the pace and styled you'd like to learn.

About Erasmo
Hello Parents and Students,

I have been teaching and writing music professionally for ten years. My first introduction to music was just like some of you, starting in high school where I had a great teacher that encouraged me to play. This helped me so much, and I wouldn't be where I am at if it weren't for his help and positive encouragement. Now I try to encourage all of my students the same way.

After high school I went on and played percussion with various Orchestras such as the "œInland Valley Symphony Orchestra" and "Mt. San Jacinto Symphony Orchestra."

I have also been involved in the DCI (Drum Corps International) and Drumline community. I toured for four years and experienced performing with groups such as Yamato Drum and Bugle Corps 2002-2005, Black Knights 2006, and RCC marching and winter percussion under the direct
ion of Scott Johnson & Jeff Lee in 2002, and Sean Vega & Jim Wunderlich in 2003.

During my college years I started playing Jazz Vibraphone in my school'™s top big-band. This allowed me the opportunity to play Jazz Piano which I have performed and still study until this day. As a result, Jazz has now become one of my biggest passions.

As a Professional International Composer, I have had the privilege of writing and arranging for many marching bands, wind ensembles, and indoor percussion ensembles, including orchestrations, recordings and sequencing projects for media, and musical theatre in the United States and Japan.

I am also currently an adjudicator for the Southern California Band and Orchestra Association (SCSBOA) and a member of the Vic-Firth Education Team.

I hope that this gives you a close and personal Idea of where I come from and hope that I can help you get the most out of your experience with music.

*** Lesson Details ***
I believe that in order for you to get the most out of our lessons it takes both, the Teacher'™s and Student'™s understanding and attention from both ends. sometimes giving all of the information in the world won't help if one there is no engagement and two if me as a teacher don't make sure that you understand. So I like to make sure to explain things in more than one way to make sure the student understands the concepts and what to practice.

I like to keep a relaxed atmosphere, but also making sure that there is a high level of professionalism and expectation of attentiveness from the student.

Of course, I also understand that this all depends on the age of the student, and as we meet and get to see what it is that you want to focus on and I will make sure to concentrate on that and help you reach your goals!

*** Studio Equipment ***
Mallets, Concert and Marching Sticks, Metronome, Practice pad, and Literature.
(Acoustic and Electric Piano are available depending on the time we arrange our lessons at the studio)

FORMER STUDENTS: I have a former student who plays on Broadway! Other former students are working on Master’s Degrees, are professional violinists, orchestra teachers, conductors, chamber music players, in Youth Symphonies and have gone on to study music in Europe, play in a Symphony Orchestra, one is a violin maker, one is a fiddler that has played in bands, one teenager beat out 14 other violinists when auditioning for the first violins in a Youth Symphony. Some former students now teach violin students of their own,
I am a "Grand Teacher"! There are many more, I have lots of pictures of students from over the years.

BEGINNING STUDENTS: (**Please note, if you plan to buy violin let me help! It must be suitable and properly sized!) Brand new? I can show a beginner how to play a song at the first lesson, ask how! I start using Suzuki Books, how to read music, scales, vibrato, and shifting, later adding Introducing the Positions, Sevcik , Kruetzer, etc. I love teaching children and teenagers, but some of my favorite students are Adult Beginners or Adults that are returning to violin lessons again after many years.

CONTINUING STUDENTS: Be prepared to play scales and your most recent repertoire. I can help with Youth Symphony music -College Music Department Audition –Jury for a Music Major. I love to teach music and I am a dedicated teacher.

WHO I HAVE PLAYED FOR: Presidents of the United States and over 75 Celebrities including America's Got Talent Winner Jackie Evancho, American Idol Clay Aiken, Smokey Robinson, Burt Bacharach, Natalie Cole, Tony Bennett, Pierce Brosnan, Page & Plant of Led Zeppelin, Josh Groban, Donna Summer, Henri Mancini, Pavarotti, Michael Crawford, Yanni, Moody Blues, Dave Brubeck, Mannheim Steamroller, Luis Miguel, John Tesh, David Sandborn and many many more.

PLAYING THE VIOLIN IS FUN! An orchestra of my own young students played for my own wedding. I currently am teaching a set of triplets in my studio. I have gone Christmas caroling on horseback with my violin. I played fiddle music with my string quartet as the Bride rode up the isle on a horse. I have performed at Renaissance Faires. When Los Angeles Rock DJ Dave Richards, the host of top rated 101.5 KGB-FM morning show Dave, Shelly & Chainsaw was getting married he chose my Rock String Quartet to play at his own wedding.

Anna was amazing, we got so much accomplished during our hour session. She was able to take her highly skilled experience and assess exactly where our daughter was at. Her manorism was as kind as a mother with the high skill of a professional. She was patient, kind and encouraging. She went the extra mile and her passion for the violin is palpable and transfers over to the student. I've been teaching piano for more than twenty years and many of my students have gone on to numerous competitions and won many awards. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to play simple songs and recognize a few of the notes and as time goes on you'll be able to read and communicate with harder pieces. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to meet you!

About Regina
At the age of fifteen, Ms. Regina graduated with honors from the Z. Paliashvili Special Music Gymnasium for Gifted Children in Tbilisi, Georgia. As a student of a famous Georgian pianist, Tengiz Amirejibi, she presented her country in numerous competitions. (Tengiz Amirejibi was a student of Heinrich Neuhaus, a famous Russian teacher and pianist.)

As a child, Ms. Regina gave many solo recitals and concerts with the Georgian Symphonic Orchestra. Ms. Regina earned her Doctorate of Musical Arts with emphasis on Advanced Piano Performance from the Yerevan State Conservatory. After graduating, she worked with talented children in her alma mater for many years. With more than eighteen years of professional teachin
g experience, Ms. Regina is able to offer her students a diverse range of educational resources. She specializes in teaching piano, performance, and music theory to students of all ages and levels.
