About Paul
You might not always notice it, but music is all around—from the stereo in your car to the music piped in at department stores. And you also may not be aware that music has a wide array of impacts on your health: Studies show that music has a strong effect on your mood levels and emotions, and also on how you think and your general intelligence. The music you listen to can have a profound effect on your test scores and your ability to quickly process information. And if you’ve ever played an instrument, studies show that you’re already ahead of the curve. Playing an instrument is a great way to test out your creative thinking and push your brain to process information in a new way. Whether you’re listening or playing, a little music can go a long way. I am here to help you realize not only your playing potential, but guide you into not ju
st becoming a guitar player, piano player, but a musician. I am able to teach Piano, Guitar, Music recording from software/hardware to MIDI, including Sonar, Reason, and related software.

I have studied music at California State University San Bernardino, where I minored in music and learned the immense possibilities of the music field. Music is part of my everyday life, and its an honor to know I can play music but also create it. My goal is to show you as the student how to realize that dream.

*** Lesson Details ***
I am a very friendly, fun and patient instructor. I believe that when you take any type of music lesson, it should be to have fun. With fun, passion, and dedication, sky is the limit. The curriculum I like to use are the most simplified forms to teach an instrument. It's about playing smarter, not harder. I do offer recording sessions to my students to track their progress, and give you a copy to keep as memorabilia.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Bergman Upright Piano. Fender Acoustic/ Gibson Electric. Marshall Amps. Digital and analog Recording Station.

*** Specialties ***
I have basic knowledge of classical works, but my emphasis is in modern rock/ Alternative. I like teaching the songs you like to hear from The Beatles to Green Day! I love all music genres and if I have not heard of the song you want to play I will learn it so that I can teach you!

Noah was very patient and made both of my granddaughters feel comfortable. They really liked Noah and expressed their enjoyment of the sessions. I stayed out of sight in order not to distract but close enough to hear interaction with lessons. He works really well with children and is very encouraging throughout the session.

It's NEVER too late to start learning piano.

I focus on the fundamentals (technique, sightreading, playing by ear) to prepare all my students to tackle any pieces they want, whether it's classical, pop, jazz, ragtime.

About Eric
I enjoy sharing my love of music by helping others embark on their musical journeys. I am a strong supporter of using a combination of aural training and sightreading to boost musicality and finesse.

In the past 6 years, I have taught students of all ages, ranging from children to seniors. You are never ever too old to learn the piano. You may not be the next Chopin, but with practice and dedication, you will eventually be able to play the mass majority of piano repertoire.

Strong fundamentals (scales/chords/arpeggios) are important, but I also remember to make music fun and not boring by providing diverse selections of supplemental (pop/ragtime/blues) pieces.

Jazz piano and general piano lessons taught by a New York conservatory-trained pianist.

Alex Sjobeck holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Studies from the Manhattan School of Music and a Master of Music degree in Jazz Studies from the University of Northern Colorado where she taught collegiate classes while obtaining her degree. She has taught semester-long classes as well as master classes at universities and high schools across the United States and has been teaching private piano lessons to both young and adult students for over a decade. Her knowledge of music is shown through her thriving teaching career as well as her performance career which has led her to record several albums and perform at acclaimed jazz clubs across the United States such as the Velvet Note in Atlanta, GA, and Dazzle in Denver, CO.

About Alexandra
At a young age, pianist Alexandra Sjobeck’s distinctly captivating style led her to move from Idaho to New York to immerse herself in New York City’s jazz scene. Her unique sound is comprised of a voice all her own which relies on nuanced intricacies in both her arrangements and improvisation paired with familiarity, whether from pop music, world music, or from jazz greats including McCoy Tyner, Bill Evans, and Herbie Hancock. One of her regular sidemen summarized it as “the combination of Post-Impressionistic painting, a jigsaw puzzle, childhood, and groove.” During her time in New York, she studied with some of the top jazz artists in the world and obtained a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies from the Manhattan School of Music.   More recently, she completed her Master’s degree in Jazz Studies at the University of Northern Colorado as
a teaching assistant. Throughout the last two years she has been actively performing with the nationally touring trio SBST as well as the Sjobeck Baker Duo and has played at venues such as The Velvet Note in Atlanta, Georgia and Dazzle in Denver, Colorado. Beyond her performance career, she has had her hand at a variety of other projects including: recording three albums as leader and co-leader, composing the music for a short film, conducting and debuting an original big band arrangement at a University of Northern Colorado concert, teaching jazz ensemble classes, and presenting workshops and masterclasses in Colorado, Georgia, and Idaho.

About Jeremiah
I am excited to begin teaching lessons in music, Bible, and academics. I have the knowledge necessary to teach my students beginning and intermediate levels of music and Bible as well as offer help with academic needs.

I am a graduate of Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO and have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Church Music and Bible. Whether my students want to develop an interest and love for music, Bible, and/or academics, I want to be an example, mentor, and friend and show them that learning is fun and has value. Within professional standards, I do not intend to convert students, however I would be glad to share my faith and knowledge to those who express interest in learning more.

Though I have limited experience in teaching, I have the knowledge and skills necessary to explain concepts. My future plans include becomin
g certified in multiple instruments (piano, voice, and possibly clarinet and guitar) through the Music Teacher National Association (MTNA) so that I can possess more credentials and better credibility in my future teaching endeavors.

Please consider me as your instructor so we can begin this learning journey together.

Experienced teacher
Accustomed to teaching to all different learning types
Personally tailor each piano lesson to fit the students needs and learning capabilities

About Amy
I am a Classical Trained Pianist. I began my musical Education at the age of 6 and quickly progressed through several teachers to an Advanced level. By the age of 12, I was being tutored by College Level Music Professors. Upon moving to Virginia in 2009, I finished up my musical education at Shenandoah University and Academy. During my high school and college years I participated in recitals 3-4 times a year with all memorized pieces, participated in and won several music competitions, as well as accompanied and performed for many social engagements and weddings.

I have been teaching piano for the last 8 years and love having the opportunity to pass my love for music on to the next generation. I am familiar with teaching students of all ages and love the challenge of tailoring each music lesson specifically for the student. With this
experience comes patience and willingness to think outside of the box in order to keep music interesting and captivating.

I primarily teach classical music as this a great fundamental learning tool that will help a student be able to cross all genres when they become a seasoned performer. Along with the classical music, I like to supplement with method books, Disney, pop, and some contemporary music to bring dimension and fun into learning. I use activity worksheets and other incentives to encouraging memory retention and to maintain familiarity with all the musical terms and rules.

Amy has been instrumental in training many of my children in the study of piano. She has laid a great foundation in music theory and instilled in them the discipline of practicing and a love of classical music. We discovered that classical training lays an excellent foundation for all other genres. Amy’s passion for the classical can be heard no matter the style that is being taught or performed. Some of our children have since branched off into other instruments. However, their instructors have been amazed with their knowledge of music theory. They were able to skip the beginning basics of their instruments and move on to harder selections. I would highly recommend Amy as an instructor. She is professional, fun, and passionate.

We have since moved to another state and I am still searching for an instructor of her caliber.
