Book NowI offer 24 years of experience playing, and 17 years teaching privately and as a public school band director. My curriculum focuses on technique, theory, style, and interpretation.
To develop quality saxophone technique, an emphasis on posture, breath support, embouchure, tone quality, intonation, articulation, and fingering is incorporated in each portion of a given lesson.
The importance of theory and scales is outlined and taught with each lesson. A challenging scale assignment to improve technical ability and music theory knowledge directly correlated to the assigned repertoire will help students understand the structure of the music they are practicing.
Saxophone students dedicate practice time to classical repertoire that includes both lyrical and technical challenges. Demonstrating the highest level of performance and knowledge of a piece is the desired result. A portion of each lesson is dedicated to students learning the style of jazz, a staple for the saxophone. Students

All ages are welcome! Viola is one of my secondary instruments and I would love to pass on my passion for music to my students. Students can expect to learn how to play the viola with proper technique in a way that is unique to each student. Students use the Suzuki books, Barbara Barber scale method, etudes and student requests in their lessons. Brynn’s students will also learn basic music theory, which includes reading notes, rhythms and key signature recognition for all major and minor keys. Students can also expect to improve their overall musicianship skills while earning audition skills and gaining overall confidence. I cannot wait to work with you.
About Brynn
Brynn is an experienced violinist with a Bachelor's of Music in Violin Performance from Youngstown State University. She has studied under the guidance of Professor Joseph Kromholz. She has been playing the violin for 13 years. She is classically trained but has experience performing other genres.

Not everyone can play an instrument or sing "by ear", however, there is a process by which you can improve your ability to "hear" the nuances of music, from identifying intervals to identifying keys. This can be especially important when trying to emulate your favorite songs. This training is part of all my instrumental lessons, but can be taught as a separate skill.

Pei-Hsuan understands how to engage kids and get them interested in music and piano. She tailors the lesson to fit kids’ short attention span and keep them focused.
Pei-Hsuan is encouraging and patient. My daughter is a sensitive girl with a big ego. Pei-Hsuan recognizes her improvement and points out her mistakes in a positive way.
My daughter just completed her first recital. I’m so proud of her and I feel so lucky to have Pei-Hsuan as her teacher.

Over the past 12 years, we've given over 3,000,000 lessons to happy customers around the world.

She has great communication skills , every lesson with Lana was educational and exciting. Besides learning technical skills my boys have developed a positive attitude to the music. Today they are college students, but they still keep playing the piano, listening to good music and attending classical music concerts. So much of this is due to Lana's influence. It's the best result I could have wished for my children's musical education."

Carl is the best piano instructor that I ever had. I am 68 and I haven't taken lessons in years. I was afraid that because of my age I would have trouble remembering what I learned in the past. I have only had 3 lessons so far and I am already playing a gospel song. Carl's teaching approach is excellent. and he has a lot of patience. I am remembering things that I learned when I was young and Carl's approach to teaching gospel music is excellent. I am learning how chords are created in a way that I never learned before. Even though I take online piano lessons, it seems like Carl is in the same room with me. It's amazing how he can see me as well as my piano keyboard and I can see him and his keyboard. We talk to each other as if we are in the same room. I highly recommend him to teach all ages because he has a lot of patience."

Thank you!"

Many dubbed 2014 "the year of the woman", and in 2015 women show no signs of slowing down. Whether you spent last year hooked on Taylor Swift's 1989, freaking out about St Vincent, buzzing in the Bey-hive, or feverishly anticipating Sleater-Kinney's reunion, women dominated much of our cultural conversation about music. With International Women's Day coming up this weekend, it's a great time to appreciate the talents and ferocity of these amazing guitar-slinging women! Check out these aweso …
