About Lindsey R.

Whether you have never learned to read music or have had several years of lessons, lessons will be tailored to your goals!

About Lindsey

If you need another time slot, please send me a message first and I can let you know if I expect any openings in the near future.***

Join me for piano lessons at my studio space in Hanover on Fridays!

Or join me for online lessons!

What you will need:

An instrument to practice on - either an acoustic piano or a keyboard with weighted keys at home. **Please do not schedule lessons unless you have an instrument.**

Sheet music - students can purchase it through me or from a store or online. We can
talk about what kinds of music you like to play or want to learn to play once you sign up for lessons.

How often are lessons?
Once a week for half an hour is ideal, especially for beginners. Please book lessons on a "recurring schedule," not "pay as you go," which, the way the system is set up, will not reserve your time slot.

How often will I have to practice?
For 6 and 7 year olds, generally 20 minutes a day, 5 days a week. For everyone else, at least a half an hour a day will give you the most progress!

What do you specialize in?
My strongest abilities are in classical music, because that is what I have the most experience in, but I can also teach the fundamentals of playing pop and rock music, and good performance, accompaniment, and practice habits.

What happens if I can't come to my scheduled lesson?
Email me, text me, call me and we can see if another time will work. Keep in mind that I only teach at this location on Fridays and your time slot is reserved for just for you. It may be difficult to find another opening, so plan on attending! Missed lessons will still be charged regardless of whether you can make it or not, so it's best to be there!
The cost of lessons not only reserves your spot, but allows me to maintain an effective studio, which includes planning lessons for each individual student, finding and planning music, maintenance of my piano, costs for recitals, and costs of association memberships. Regular attendance is in everyone's best interest :)

What happens if I need to discontinue lessons but already paid for the lessons?
Contact TakeLessons and they will handle that for you.

I've been teaching piano for 35 years and many of my students have gone on to win competitions. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to employ the proper hand/finger placement on the keyboard, and as time goes on you'll be able to utilize this technique to play complicated pieces. I specialize in classical piano, but the techniques I teach can be leveraged to play any style. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to meet you!

About Natalie
I have over 35 years of experience in the music field, teaching Piano, Voice, and Music History. I am originally from Kiev, Ukraine; therefore, my style of teaching is quite different from the ordinary piano teacher. I incorporate many wonderful and time-proven techniques and styles from my rich Russian background.

Music is my life's passion and I enjoy educating students on the proper techniques and encouraging their love of music. My goal is to create love and passion through music, and to develop imagination, expression, confidence, discipline, and patience in my students. I believe
that learning to play music should be as much fun as listening to it.

My schedule is flexible. I am available both during the day and evening. Weekend lessons are also available.

About Deborah

I have 11 years of elementary teaching experience at the 1st through 4th grade levels. My tutoring and music lesson style includes a well-organized and engaging plan of study tailored to the needs of the individual student.

I offer a complimentary first session to get to know the student, assess strengths and weaknesses, and to suggest a general plan for improvement. I assign weekly practice, homework, reading, and/or learning activities and games.

I look forward to hearing from you and helping your child achieve success in his or her studies and/or musical enjoyment!

These lessons are designed to enhance a student's life through the study of music. Music is initially provided and I strive to have the student learning enjoyable music from the first few lessons. With an emphasis on reading music and ear training, through games, songs and instruments, students are encouraged to develop not only their own musical talent, but to discover the joy of music. Within the lessons, Music Mind Games are employed to enhance the student’s learning and enjoyment.

About Donna
After studying violin and piano in Boston, at New England Conservatory with Eric Rosenblith as well as Robert Soetens in France, I have been fortunate to enjoy nearly twenty years of teaching violin and piano students. I have earned a BS and MS degrees.

I believe all my students should enjoy music and lessons so students learn enjoyable music from the first few lessons.

For the younger students I use Music Mind Games training to enhance the lesson experience.

My professional violin experience includes performances with many orchestras including a ten-year member of the Chattanooga Sy
mphony, Chattanooga Opera Orchestra, and the New Art Trio, Charleston Symphony, Savannah Symphony and chamber orchestras and ensembles in the Savannah, Chattanooga and Richmond areas. My experience also includes performances with Richmond Symphony in Richmond, VA, Virginia Symphony in Norfolk, VA, Dover Delaware Symphony as well as performance venues in the Pennsylvania area.
